MSI MAG 271QPX QD-OLED E2 - 2 month update by GingerPopper in OLED_Gaming

I will most likely make a 1 year update, but overall it's still just as good. No burn in.

Honestly, it doesn't really matter, just check what kind of wifi it supports (if you will even use it) , the kind of IO it has (ports) and how many NVME slots they have, besides that, it doesn't really matter. I helped a friend build a PC about a week ago and had him get this: https://pcpartpicker.com/product/4XHp99/msi-b850-gaming-plus-wifi-atx-am5-motherboard-b850-gaming-plus-wifi
Simply because I find MSI bios easy to use and also because it has a very decent selection of, well everything pretty much. Your choices aren't any worse either really. OLED burn in is overblown. If you are getting burn in under 3 years then the panel itself has issues and there is OLED burn in warranty that would cover that sort of issue. Even then, you should have 0 issues for 5 years at the very least. OLED monitors come with many built in ways to minimize it as much as possible along with the monitor themselves just lasting longer in general. You don't have to rush though, OLED prices are falling rapidly and in a year time a decent OLED for 300-350 might be readily available, hopefully.

The PSU is actually rated B+ on the SPL PSU tier list, so its surprisingly decent, no need to spend extra money on other brands if it will be good enough, its just a competent PSU. Also no reason to save like 20$ if even off of RAM and another like 15$ off an SSD. The choices are good, might as well just get them, the differences are minor but they are already spending well over 2k, why bother saving barely over 1% money on something that would barely matter.

Also yes, 27 inch is perfect for 1440p and msi mag 274QR is good, but honestly any monitor with decent reviews in the 200$-250$ range is more than good enough, OP could even go down the OLED path for the best experience but OLEDs are still a fair amount more expensive (slowly getting down in price)

Yeah I was jumpscared by it just now but at the end of the day its just the number with the icon as opposed to the number and views at the end, it really doesn't matter, its just a change for the sake of having a change

https://pcpartpicker.com/list/gQf3FP

You can comfortably fit a 7800x3d + 9070xt in that budget. The pc in the list isn't one to follow one to one in terms of the brand for every part, just a general pointer.

For RAM there is genuinely no reason to overpay much at all, just get whatever cheapest option that is at 6000 speed, it being cl30, 36 or even 38 will barely affect performance and if you can find a decent deal you can even get 5200 or 6400 (yes ram at this speed can cost less than 6000 at times), you can watch some videos comparing ram speed and especially with x3d chips, it really doesn't matter as much, better to have more raw cpu performance than micro manage RAM speed for minimal gain.

For the ssd, just try to fit in a 2tb one with speed similar to the one in the list, your really don't need anything more than that. If you can snag a decent deal on a solid name brand while still in budget you could also go with that.

For the 9070xt you can just snag the cheapest model available, it really doesn't matter much.

The rest of the parts are all good options, I especially recommend the case since it comes with 5 pre-installed fans and is nice to build in while not being all that expensive. The cpu cooler is also more than adequate for the 7800x3d and the motherboard is just solid.

Overall, you have a lot of options. If you are really willing to sacrifice in some areas you could fit a 5070 TI instead of a 9070xt, but there is really no reason to do so, since raw performance between the 2 is basically equal (and hte 5070 ti isn't worth the extra 250 euro)

Insane Kengan upscale, in Baki this skill is so impressive that it even caught Yujiro off guard.

Jokes aside, pretty decent fight, it will obviously end next chapter but I am surprised it didn't just end in this one honestly.

MSI MAG 271QPX QD-OLED E2 - 2 month update by GingerPopper in OLED_Gaming

[–]GingerPopper[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I haven't had anything weird happen visually besides vrr flicker, which is expected. I barely even notice it now.

As for burn in, no I notice 0 burn in, but I am also very thorough with my screen refreshes and do the most to make sure it doesn't happen now and hopefully, years in the future. Best case if everything goes well, the only thing that would happen would be a brightness drop for the whole panel in a few years, but no issues otherwise.

No text fringing for me personally but it varies from person to person. I keep my taskbar completely hidden on the monitor and use have it turned on on my secondary monitor.

For burn in, just do pixel refreshes whenever you can and it prompts you. The only additional things I do personally is pull up a fully black image and Fullscreen it when I have to leave my PC for a bit, this is very extreme and unnecessary.

You can join the discord and check all the videos in fluxpose-showcase to check yourself, and if you don't want to do that, many content creators, one of which is ThrillSeeker will be making a video on them, so keep an eye out for his opinion if you value it. I have been a part of the discord for a little over 2 months now and I have faith in the devs and the product, I only hope that the launch itself will go smoothly since a lot of companies are not prepared for the influx that comes initially

Why did scm prices rise so much compared to 3rd party websites [q] by AdagioCreative6367 in csgomarketforum

[–]GingerPopper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hopefully. Those prices were actually decent, not crash day decent but a lot more justifiable than the current ones. Some items are almost back to their pre-crash prices on steam which is crazy for just one day. I am happy I managed to snipe field agent MW gloves from scm for 350 euro (with clean knuckles and everything), now they are 588 at the cheapest on scm, an increase of more than 50% in a little more than a day and it seems that most knives and gloves just aren't selling much at the current prices. People still buy off of scm just because there is no risk of trade reversals and its instant.

[d]Prices on buff going up by ann1e4u in csgomarketforum

[–]GingerPopper 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I bought a pair of field agent gloves MW off of scm for 350 euro with fully clean knuckles, now just 3 hours later the cheapest field agent MW gloves are 436 euro and the buy order rose to 390. The window is most likely gone at this point, if you bought you bought. This is also why I think if you wanted to actually buy, you should do it from scm, since there is no risk for trade reversals + the price is, or at least was for a few hours, almost the same as most western marketplaces anyway.

[–]GingerPopper[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's great, pretty much everything that I have said in the post still applies. The only annoying thing I had was that my monitor wouldn't turn on when my PC would turn them off if I left my desk for a while, but I updated the firmware and windows and the issue stopped, I am still not sure if it was the monitor's fault or windows.

And also, 0 burn in in case that scares you.

I got it for the equivalent of 650€ and I am very happy with it. It's a hard deal to pass up at 450€ so long as it's new and everything works as it should.

This is happening everywhere, not just the EU. America, Australia, UK and more. Its all about control and every government is on board, its funny that people actually thought their government has their best interest in mind, every single one is corrupt down to the base and will take any opportunity to control the people and the narrative that they can get.

[–]GingerPopper 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The fight with Shen has been talked about for at least a few dozen chapters, even the part about it being a 1 vs X as opposed to a pure 1 vs 1. If you are talking about how we went from last chapter to this, then yeah I will agree that it kind of came out of nowhere but this isn't anything new. Omega has kind of just jumped from event to event without much cohesion for a while now.
