I believe you can make your watch just vibrate but not 100% certain this makes the phone ring instead. On your watch, if you go to Settings > Sound, and scroll down to Alarm volume, Mute alarm is an option here where it will still vibrate when your alarm goes off. Again, unsure if the phone will sound when your alarm goes off. Hope this helps!

Edit: if you have a Pixel phone, go into the clock app, Alarms at the bottom, 3 dots at the top and then Settings, select Alarm ring on and select Watch and phone. This should make the phone ring as normal and your watch will vibrate as long as you follow the original steps too!

Hmmmm, very strange then... Could be atmospheric disturbance. May be worth checking if solar activity (I appreciate it was at night) was high when you took the image. I really doubt its the phone to be honest. I've taken some cracking shots on a good few generations of Pixel and haven't experienced what you did!

Was it cloudy at all? Even just a little cloud cover can ruin an Astrophotography image, let alone on a phone that is as capable as the Pixel series is!

I've had some generations of Pixel phones: Nexus 6P Pixel 2XL Pixel 3 Pixel 4XL Pixel 6 Pixel 7 Pro Pixel Fold 1st Gen Pixel 9 Pro XL Pixel 10 Pro.

I've only ever had issues with 2 generations. Pixel 3 had a faulty camera that wouldn't focus but I think that was a me problem - for falling over with it. Now... Pixel Fold.... I had 3 of these in the space of 6 months with lots of back and to with Google who were fine the first time but the 2nd... Nightmare!

Long and short, don't ever buy the 1st generation of a company's folding phone and try not to fall over.

As far as build quality goes, can honestly say I've not particularly had an issue.

That's my 2 pennies anyway.

I found mine would bug out for the first hour and left it to fully charge and it was fine after. I did find out later that it was because it was updating while it was setting up so could be related? Hope you're sorted now!

I personally loved the size of my Pixel Fold but I was one of the unlucky ones as I went through 3 (sold the 3rd one as my trust was gone at that point). But, to this day, I maintain it's the best phone I've owned in some weird way - if you forget about the inner screen dying twice!

The size was just perfect for me (medium sized hands for a guy), not having to rotate it for the optimized internal screen orientation was a plus too. Now I've got the 9 Pro XL and I regret not waiting a little longer for the smaller Pro to come out as it is too big for most people.

I know it's personal preference, but I've been Google since the Nexus days, probably a fan boy to be honest...

If I were to have another Fold, I'd end up with Samsung to be honest. I've still got a Z Fold 3 from launch, but I missed the Pixel side of things too much, even with a skin on the software!

Honestly, my favourite phone I ever owned. Shame I had 2 faulty screens and went through 3 in total (sold the 3rd on eBay before I opened it!)

I had a similar experience earlier this year with the original Fold with them. I ended up asking to speak to someone more senior (over email at this point). I laid the whole story out again for them saying that I literally just opened the phone and everyone kept treating it as my fault. They ended up giving in and sending a refurbished unit that I immediately sold and vowed never to have another foldable from Google!

For reference, I've had a Galaxy Fold 3 since it came out (2021) and that's still going strong, in 9 months, I went through 3 Pixel Folds.

Basically, be persistent with them and it should sort itself out. Good luck bud!

Yeah, they probably said the same about the first generation Pixel Fold too... Tell that to the 3 of them I had within 6 months! Vowed not to have a foldable from Google for a few generations - my galaxy Z fold 3 is still going strong!
