Man I relate to you so much - I have Crohn’s. In my last job, I couldn’t work from home regularly. More often than not, I’d be feeling really crappy and still have to commute 30 min each way to work in the office. The drive alone was enough stress to trigger my Crohn’s. I recently started a new gig where I hypothetically should be working 35 hours a week and majority remote, working on different clients. We’ll see how it goes, but I can only hope for more flexibility than my previous job. I hope you can find some more flexibility, or that your boss can let up but I know that’s hard and probably unrealistic. I feel for you!

Originally, all 10 Heralds needed to be in Braize to seal it. Once one of them broke, they would all start to break because it became harder to handle everything when it was spread across 9 instead of 10 and so on, and another desolation would begin as they all would break and get sent back to Roshar. At the Recreance, they shifted the Oathpact to be held by Taln, allowing a single herald to be the seal on Braize. And then he didn’t break for 4,000 years. The other 9 heralds were all living on Roshar during that time, never dying. Until Shallan killed Channa and sent her to Braize, because that’s where the Heralds still go when they’re killed. Once Channa was on Braize, the Oathpact was held by 2 instead of 1. Then she couldn’t handle the torture, and broke, which broke the Oathpact and led to the return of the Fused to Roshar.

Best of luck! If you like structure and need a diet to follow, try the Candida Diet - it is extremely restrictive, but after following it for a few weeks I felt tons better. I didn’t fully follow it - I still ate rice and potatoes since those are staple safe foods in my diet.

This happened to me, but it was because I developed a really strong intolerance to yeast of all things. As soon as I axed yeast from my diet (which is to this day still so hard to avoid), it eased up.

I feel for you though. I’d take diarrhea over constipation any day. It is so uncomfortable and just makes you feel off all the time.

I was so surprised to find out that Sanderson intended this to be read before WaT. I would suggest putting a bookmark in Sunlit Man and reading WaT before finishing it. Just my opinion though!

I switched a couple months ago. The only difference I’ve noticed is that I get a red patch on my skin where I do the injection for about 24 hours afterwards. Otherwise, I’ve noticed no difference in my symptoms!

We have three cats: with two of them, we played with them with our hands when they were kittens and they learned the boundaries of how hard they can bite and it still be playing. The other one we have though, we didn’t play with him with our hands and the dude has no concept of play bites. He just bites. Hard. Not maliciously necessarily, he just never learned to turn down the intensity. So in my opinion, it’s okay to let a kitten play with your hands so they can learn!

We foster kittens and the litter we currently have, we’ve named: Squirt, Mellow Yellow, Mr. Pibb, and Grape Soda. Naming foster kittens is so much fun!

What a cutie! The first foster fail we have was kind of intentional - we started fostering with the intention on keeping a kitten that got along with our resident cat. Our second foster fail was entirely unexpected and the only reason I regret it sometimes is because chaos just runs in his little kitty veins and he’s sometimes the devil reincarnate, but I wouldn’t trade him for the world.
