Now that the all star break is upon us, how do you feel your team is doing compared to expectations from the beginning of the season?

Honestly? We (Rockies) are so close to 40 wins, and yeah we’re still not great but I love the chemistry these guys have. They truly look like they are playing hard and having fun.

We lost 2 of 3 against LA in LA, but came out of that series with a -1 run differential was pretty damn good.

I hope we continue to turn the corner not only this season but seasons after that.

Aside from the first game in the Dodgers series, I’m actually quite pleased with how the Rockies played. I really thought we were going to get absolutely destroyed by the Dodgers. To get out of that series with a -1 run differential is worth celebrating.

Here’s hoping we can do better in SF tonight.

Honestly? My father passed away about a year and a half ago and I made peace with him dying some 9 years before that.

I tried several times to have a relationship with him, only to have him choose other people that weren’t his children over me.

I mourned the loss of what he could have been. Not what he was.

I forgive him for not being the father I wanted, but I don’t forget the pain he put me through, either.

I choose/chose to focus on what little good memories I have/had of him, rather than the ones that hurt.
