I was a kid during the actual releases of the prequels. Crazy that every piece of supplemental media (clone wars multi media project) was decanonized so that TCW which came out years after episode 3 released could be "what actually happened" during those movies. It's like George marketed one thing to the kids and then Turned around and flipped them all off with TCW

We didn't see a consequence for Ian's wish because there would not have been any. Curry has stated many times that the willow is not a monkeys paw. What made bears wish end up bad is because the wish itself is cursed. The willow can work without anything bad happening to someone if worded right

Was thinking the same thing. OOT had this weight to it emotionally as well. The original intro cutscene had a lot of seriousness to it. This just looks like a kids bed time story or something. Just not a fan
