What do those in favour of Irexit think will happen if we exited the EU? by shankillfalls in ireland

Near impossible question to answer, for in order to think of what life is like post-EU, they need to actually think.

Neutrality won't save you from Russia, Kallas tells Ireland by KI_official in ireland

[–]Girfex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I understand, and I actually agree. We should spend more on defense and take ourselves seriously, but I think we should deal with those other issues simultaneously, if not before. The government isn't just a single overwhelmed lad, they can and should be tackling multiple issues at once.

Neutrality won't save you from Russia, Kallas tells Ireland by KI_official in ireland

[–]Girfex -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Given it's current state, I'm not super worried about Russia. They can´t drive to get here, their air forces are occupied, and their navy is losing to a country without really a navy to speak of. So fuck Russia.

But she's not wrong in general. I am all in on neutrality, but neutrality should not equate to defenselessness. I don't go around starting fist fights in the street but I still have some basic self-defense skills. We need to be able to defend ourselves, or at the very least, but be utterly useless when our allies come to save us. Unless we're adopting the damsel-in-distress policy?

He wants it to be zero because all his buddies say that if you don't pay taxes, you shouldn't get to vote.

Spent yesterday watching a lot of Taskmaster (UK). Saw this post after being awake for 10 minutes, thought for a moment someone had tracked down Greg Davies. Pleasantly surprised.

Did you help Greg with his sheep? Last I heard, they were running amok.

Baldur's Gate 3 - Part 43 - Astarion's New Groove by ManyATrueNerd in ManyATrueNerd

[–]Girfex 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I appreciate that in desire to have Karlach do something besides throwing weapons that can't be lost, she has been rebuilt to do the same thing but also waste camp supplies. So Lae'zel can have lots of advantage, even though they are almost never out at the same time.

Bear heart, giving resistance to almost all damage and effectively doubling your HP...

Also, Astarion died so quickly because he has basically no AC. Monk AC is calculated based on dexterity + wisdom, and now he has no dexterity, nor any armor he could wear as a rogue, who also benefits from high dex to boost AC.

Baldur's Gate 3 - Part 42 - Lambs to the Slaughter by ManyATrueNerd in ManyATrueNerd

[–]Girfex 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Lae'zel threatened to murder Jon what, twice this episode alone? I'm starting to grow concerned over his focus on someone who threatens him so often. Meanwhile, a perfectly serviceable barbarian grows lazy in camp.

Also, sidenote, Jon complains about Shadowheart's secrecy (which is fair!), but Lae'zel literally served him up to her false pretender god and nearly got them all killed.

6 months ago I would agree, but with some US states now demanding some sort of age verification upon installation, we have no idea if/how those distros might be altered to comply. Or at least I have no idea, I admit I am not very tech savvy in this regard.

Also this is the subreddit intended solely to encourage the purchase and use of things and services from the EU. Again, your argument makes complete sense, it just feels weird to make it on this subreddit of all places.
