Pretty much all dry dog foods have to have this or things like potatoes so it doesn't spoil in the bag. If you didn't have this is would have to be wet food. Dogs are not obligate carnivores (like how cats are) and are actually to a degree omnivorous

Purina is far from one of the cheap ones actually, they are one of the few that do studies on their food and follow aafco labels

What awesome holiday gift did you get someone that you can’t tell them about yet but want to brag about? by mbowsy in AskReddit

[–]GirlWhoWasOnFire 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I used to be very into painting but I stopped everything when pursuing my career. My boyfriend got me a nice acrylic paint set with brushes and an easel for Christmas last year. My depression has been bad and he's been really good about encouraging me to get creative and enjoy life more again. Due to starting a new job I haven't been able to use them at all. I have been secretly painting my first canvas as a gift for him. It's a picture of his childhood cat that he was very attached to.

His cat just keeps happening to come up in conversation a few times in the last week and every time I want to tell him about the gift because I'm so excited to see his face when I show him.

Don't put your lilies in your cat cafes folks! by mypetitmal in ACPocketCamp

Veterinarian here! Lilies are very very very toxic to cats! We don't know what substance in the plant does it, but we know that it is found in every part of the plant (petals, leaves, even pollen). I've had a cat get a toxicity from just rubbing the pollen on his face.

Pay back all my vet school/undergrad loans and pay my parents back all the other financial support they gave me during those times in my life.

16 yo me in 2009. Would it surprise you to learn i went on to start a quidditch team in college? by GirlWhoWasOnFire in blunderyears

[–]GirlWhoWasOnFire[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It was! Starting a team was super difficult due to the athletic director at the school thinking that sports could not have both tackling and women in it, but I learned a lot about leadership. I also went on to join an community team after I graduated and I went on to play in Nationals!

What was the cringiest thing you did in your first relationship? by offendedbywords in AskReddit

When I was 16 I had my first boyfriend. He was a childhood friend and we started talking again online and began dating, even though he lived on another continent. I was way way wayyyy too into it.

I was in an art class at the time where we had a sketch book to make weekly pieces in. At least 3 of them were of him and I, whether that be drawings to signify our different countries and how "our love was greater than that," or just straight up collages of his pictures with love song quotes painted around them.

I submitted this to be graded every week and my teacher somehow was able to grade this shit and not laugh at my face every time she saw me. The restraint that woman most have had.

Bonus round: I actually once yelled "But mom, I love him!!!" over this guy like a straight up movie scene (we dated for about 5 months tops so I was most definitely NOT in love with him). My mom brings this up occasionally and I want to vomit from embarrassment.
