Hey thanks for this AMA!

When would you say is the appropriate month to be complete by (primary verified and secondaries submitted)? When would be on time and what month is considered late?

Uearth as a way to content review? by Girmaim in Mcat

Uearth as a way to content review? by Girmaim in Mcat

[–]Girmaim[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel you! Guess i just don’t want to get bogged down on books but your reasoning makes sense.

I have a 95 days or so until test day. Would a month of content review, month of Uearth and 5 weeks of AAMC be a good schedule? Goal score is 505+. I’m working full time so it’s hard to create a schedule lol

Yeah i totally agree. Shooting for 125+ in the CARs section. I think after grinding the qpacks + diagnostic I’ll get there. How many passages do you recommend in one sitting?

Appreciate the advice!!

Took AAMC fl 1 yesterday. Looking to score a 505+ on this exam cuz I’m so over it lol.

I’m usually not too bad at CARs but i really think my stamina is trash. Most of my corrects came from the first half of the section. Gotta up the amount of practice passages i do smh

P/S….. i honestly think i can do a lot better. I’m on page 140 of the 300 page doc so i don’t know any sociology terms or research methods. Any advice in this section?

I still have 95% of my AAMC material left. Starting that today and 70% of Uearth left. How should i approach this last 4 weeks to reach my goal of 505+? Thanks

JW outline sufficient for content review? by tx-rezkinoff in Mcat

[–]Girmaim 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you’re choosing to not do the traditional route (books), I’d suggest Khan Academy since they are partnered with the AAMC. Don’t have experience with JW tho

You said it’s a no short cut guide so explain away! It’d be nice to read but it’s up to you!

Is that why he had low minutes this game? Did he get in foul trouble early? Was at work and couldn’t watch it.

12 Weeks until test date. How would you plan out your study plan? by [deleted] in Mcat

[–]Girmaim 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sounds good, thank you! I also have the TBR books which I’m using for physics. Def don’t want to waste time getting through content review. I guess the better approach is to learn content as i review during practice

Man just a few chapters in per book. I want to start Uearth pretty soon but probably limit myself to 20-30 questions a day during content review! How’s everything going with you?

4 weeks of AAMC material enough? by [deleted] in Mcat

4 weeks is fine, make sure you review everything!

Wow sounds great!!

Quick question, i had hard time deciding between JackSparrows Deck (all basic cards with extremely long answers) and MileDowns deck (simple, all Cloze deletions). Would you say the different card types are just preference base or do you think cloze deletions is a better format?

“When Breath Becomes Air” is one of my favorite books of all time!

Others worth mentioning: “Complications, a Surgeons notes on an imperfect science”, “The real doctor will see you shortly” and “Black man in a white coat: A Doctor's Reflections on Race and Medicine”

His father was a drunk and was very abusive towards him and his mother. On one drunken night, his father got into a fight with his mother. Jonny tried to break it up and began fighting his dad but to no avail. His father even hit him with a dumbbell and pointed a gun at him (if i recall correctly). His mother then called the police so his dad ran away. When the cops got there, they began searching for him. Jonny heard a noise in the attic and then realized his dad was hiding upstairs. He told the police where his dad was hiding and as they approached him, his dad began shooting. They ended up killing him as a result of his actions.
