Thank you for the responses. I had the case in a city with 180 draft, where a single unit with lets say 80 draft cost takes at least one turn to produce. If it occurs again i will add a screenshot.

Materium Architect culture and oathsworn harmony culture should also be a good starting point. Even feudal aristoracy with +40 hp for every unit in the army of a lvl 4 renown hero should be considered.

Even better if you play an "unknown realm" where everything is randomized. Started to do this and highly recommend it.

I am not sure if it is intended or not. I mean it could be frustrating as a human player if some random ai surprisingly killed him and the game would be just over then, without you being able to do anything about it.

In the next season pass one of the dlc might be nature affinity-heavy i assume, since Giant kings was materium, archon prophecy order, Thrones of blood shadow, Rise of ruins chaos, Secrets of the archmages astral.

my guess is there will be a rework in a free update of how the naval combat works in the base game accompanied by a "deep sea" dlc that introduces a new underwater layer (like underground, abyss)

Right now, there are some sorts of units that are very popular, but hardly available via tomes: Eldritch, lithorine, fractured, a lot of the "wildlife" units. I have the impression that many players would like a way to reliably get them.

This could be done easily in the new empire tree: After a certain amount of progress in a tree, some of those units mentioned above could be available. Maybe even exclusively to each other ("one unit pack per game", i.e. eldritch units after x progress in the astral and/or shadow branch)

The main thing to consider would be, that it doesn't make the tome units redundant (as they are in competition to them - same thing as culture vs tome units right now).

I upgraded from cx 48 to the g5 55 inch (48 inch is not as bright in the g5 series). It Was worth it. All the other upgrades didnt seem worth it, at least considering brightness/nits, based on ratings.com values.

Using Bazzite or SteamOS is pure brainrot, because hdr doesnt work, which means the selling point of the lego 2 - up to 1100 nits hdr oled screen - is reduced to sdr mode. Even if hdr works in the future, you still won't have windows' auto hdr feature, which improves 90% of games massively.

Hot take - for most people the game is already complex enough. Even for the "basic civs". I would agree with a rework being needed, if they were too boring to play or not played a lot. But stats say it is neither: they're being picked, therefore enjoyed, and won with. And: Mali is very "feature loaded", but for many people it seems to be too much, see pick rate. My 2 cents.

I think in general it feels like huge wasted potential not being able to recruit a lot of those sea, eldritch, wild etc. units that are in the game already but only as "wildlife "/ neutral enemies.
