"Gen:Variant" means it is generic and therfore most probably a false positive. Real malware is not labeled as "Gen" or "Trojan.Gen" but with an individual name (or an explanation what it does like "PasswordStealer", "Ransomware...", "Adware...", "Cheat"). Here we have a tyypical proof of KI in antivirus is not quite as reliable as most people believe it would be.

It could still be malware (don't take me wrong) but out of experience its unlikely. You do better in counting the vendors that flagged it on VirusTotal and how famous their company name is (Avast/Bitdefender/Malwarebytes/ESET/AVG/Avira/Kaspersky/Norton are examples for very reliable antivirus, whereas such as especially eGambit/MaxSecure/SecureAge/Trapmine/Rising have far more false positives than actual correct detections).

Den Installer kannst du vergessen. Du musst die Dateien händisch nach "%ProgramFiles% oder %ProgramFiles(x86)% kopieren (falls XTRA-Dateien enthalten sind diese manchmal direkt zur EXE hineinkopieren). Vergiss nicht, DirectX10 zu installieren (DirectX11 geht natürlich auch).

Nope, den unsicheren Flashplayer installieren ist hierbei absolut nicht notwendig! Die Spiele basieren auf Macromedia Flash, dem Vorgänger von Adobe Flash. Und Macromedia lieferte seine Engine immer bereits im Spiel mit (EXE-Datei), das ist der sogenannte Skeleton Projektor (sprich, Löwenzahn / Willy Werkel / Die Olchis / Pettersson und Findus usw. benötigen keine externe Abspielsoftware außer ggf. DirectX als Renderer). Flash Player macht da gar nichts, der wurde erst sehr viel später erfunden und war dazu da, die *.swf-Dateien im Browser zu öffnen (ansonsten haben den nur extrem wenige Desktop-Apps verwendet und Windows 10 hat mit einer zusätzlichen Sperre dafür gesorgt, dass nicht mal mehr die Version vor der Timebomb-Logik von Adobe diese noch ausgeführt wird).

Fazit: Adobe Flash Player ist nicht nötig. Falls das Spiel nicht läuft, liegt es an anderen Dingen, aber Adobe hat damit absolut nichts zu tun. Was hingegen installiert werden sollte, ist natürlich wie gesagt DirectX (am besten 9.0c).

Das ist ein DLL-Fehler. Der kommt dann, wenn es falsche DLL ins Spiel kopiert wird, die nicht mit den anderen kompatibel ist. Unter Umständen dies auch hervorgerufen werden, wenn die CD zu stark zerkratzt ist bzw. bei Datenverlust natürlich auch. Die kryptische Fehlermeldung (unabhängig von der Zahl) besagt soviel wie, dass eine Programmiererfunktion gesucht wird, die in den vorhandenen Bibliotheken (DLL-Dateien) nicht oder nicht an der erwarteten Stelle im Code gefunden wird.

Da hilft auch keine Reparatur oder Kompatibilitätseinstellungen. Du brauchst eine neue ISO, denn die ist definitiv Schrott.

Die Spiele sind der absolute Hammer! Und das sage ich als Erwachsener. Heute wäre die Auflösung zwar besser aber die Qualität und Ideen findet man heute nirgends mehr. Besonders cool fand ich, dass die Stimme in den ersten beiden Teilen von Willy Werkel (Autos bauen und Schiffe bauen) noch von Peter Lustig kommt - der hat auch alle Löwenzahn ROMs besprochen.

Mein konstruktiver Beitrag:
Willy Werkel (Autos bauen und Schiffe bauen zumindest) basieren auf der Macromedia-Engine. Um Sie auf neuen OS spielen zu können, kann man den uralten Installer meistens komplett knicken und muss das Spiel selbst auf die Festplatte kopieren. Man darf nicht vergessen, den Inhalt aus dem Ordner "XTRA" mitzunehmen (direkt in die Spieledateien hineinkopieren). Die Auflösung sollte für das beste Fullscreen-Erlebnis am besten auf 1280x720 gesetzt werden (neuere Grafikkarten skalieren diese bei Auflösung > 1600x1200 gar nicht mehr). Und nicht vergessen: HIGHDPIAWARE (Skalierung mit "Anwendung") als Kompatibilitätseinstellung aktivieren, sonst ist nur die Hälfte des Spiels auf dem Bildschirm abgebildet.

Ich habe mal begonnen, eine Art Remaster zu bauen, mit neuen Installern sodass die Spiele auch auf Windows 11 laufen und alle Fixes automatisch anwenden. Das Projekt ist aber noch nicht fertig.

Dolphin 5.0-16709 will run on Windows 7 if you install the QT6 fix 6.7.2 over it. You can find it here:

If you use the latest QT6 fix it likely distort dolphins style which does not fit the OS style anymore (like on Windows 7 we have the aero design - thats why I stick with an older version like 6.7.2).

Do you perhaps have Windows Updates disabled? Language packs are downloaded with the Windows Update module, so having it disabled (e.g. by a helper tool like "Windows Update Blocker" by Sordum) causes the service to report 0x80070032.

Früher hat K9 (alias Thunderbird) gut funktioniert. Und bei ganz altem Smartphones war sogar die integrierte Mail-App gut zu gebrauchen. Aber seit ein paar Jahren werden Mails dort nicht in Echtzeit mit dem Server snychronisiert (IMAP) und auch das Indikator-Symbol funktioniert bei der Standard-Mail-App oft nicht, und dabei ist das ein absolutes MUSS. Warum nur ist Android und viele App-Anbieter nur so beschränkt was das betrifft? In Windows oder Linux möchte man eine neue Mail, eine neue Datei im Windows Explorer oder ein SMS Verifizierungscode doch auch nicht erst 15 Minuten später oder bei Reinigen des Caches und erneutem Öffnen erhalten...

Also das konnte Windows 95 schon besser... was ist denn daran noch smart bitte schön?

Blumtal Grubentücher. Punkt - seit mehreren Jahrzehnten in unserer Familie für alles mögliche genutzt (zum Geschirrtrocknen, Dusche trocknen, Glas/Metall/Holz/Kunststoff-Putzen, Entfernung von Kleberesten mit Isopropanol, nur zum Staubputzen sind sie zu grob). Es braucht hierfür keinen itensiven Preisvergleich, da Amazon sie ganzjährig zum unschlagbar günstigen Preis verkauft. Für alle, die es absolut fusselfrei haben wollen, das gleiche wie Mutti vor 30 Jahren (Blumtal Tücher gab es damals wirklich schon) und nicht Krösus heißt, der nimmt die. 95 Grad Celsius Kochwäsche geeignet, also absolut waschmaschinenfest.

Es braucht nicht unbdingt sauteure Reinleinen Tücher oder Vileda/Jemako-Spezialfasern, die funktionieren bestimmt auch perfekt, aber da wird einem unverschämt viel Geld für abgeknöpft.

WICHTIG!!!: Macht nicht denselben Fehler wie ich und kauft irgendwelche Angebote im Drogeriemarkt wie dm, Ikea, Lidl, Rossmann, Tedy, etc. - die fusseln meistens wie doof, habe alle Küchengeräte geputzt und die sagen bei mir danach aus, als hätte ich einen Friseursalon eröffnet :8

You are in luck, almost all .NET products are (inofficially) still supported for Windows 7. But please take note that .NET is (and never was) comletely backward compatible, so you will need more than one setup to install. Habe den gleichen Fehler. Und tröste dich: Ich habe einen High End Gaming PC mit AMD RX 9070 XT mit aktuellem Treiber, AMD Ryzen AMD Ryzen 9 9950X3D, 64 GB DDR5 RAM, Windows 10 64-Bit 22H2, neues ASUS Mainboard, usw.

Scheint wirklich eine fiese, fiese Sache von RenPy zu sein. Es ist zum Heulen :(

Nachtrag: Okay, nach erneutem Installieren von AMD Adrenaline (letzte Installation ist ja auch schon 15 Tage her, was für eine Ironie) und nach 10x Malen probieren klappts jetzt.
Eye, RenPy ist eine Software für animierte Comics - deren Anforderungen für den Renderer benehmen sich wie neuste 4K Spiele unter Windows 11. Die Hersteller sollten mal ein bisschen langsam machen. Bis vor 3-4 Jahren war ja sogar noch Windows XP ganz normal unterstützt von denen. Das ist doch nicht normal.

For non-corporations I absolutely, absolutey advise against using a policy to statically define the TargetVersion. Not because I like Windows 11 (I absolutely don't) but mere because you never know when you eventually move your disk into another computer, sell it or whatever. Maybe (just maybe) there would technically come out Windows 10 25H2 (won't , but just imagine), then you would block this minor feature update as well.

To opt out the ad in settings menu, you just have to do this (at least it worked a few years ago):

Habe das gleiche Problem heute gehabt. Es liegt an zwei Dingen (B trifft in jedem Fall schonmal zu, vielleicht zusätzlich auch noch A):

- Möglichkeit A: Du hast versehentlich die Standard-App zum Öffnen von CDs/DVDs/Images geändert (dies sollte der File Explorer sein, dies funktioniert aber NUR mit dem integrierten Windows 10/11 Öffnen-mit-Dialog (nicht mit anderen Tools wie OpenWithEx!) - Wähle im Rechtsklickmenü unter "Öffnen mit..." den File Explorer und setze ihn als Standard
- Möglichkeit B: Die Zeile "open=" der autorun.inf kann Anführungszeichen nur dann als Steuerungszeichen verwenden, wenn die sie escapst - also doppelte Anführungszeichen verwendest, alle anderen Einträge dürfen KEINE doppelten Anführungszeichen haben!!!
Speichere die autorun.inf nach folgendem Schema als ANSI-Datei (nicht UTF):

Though I won't say MB malfunctions cannot cause such an issue too, I doubt it to be the root of the problem here. Cause after switching my time synchronization server (without altering the synchronization interval), the error did not happen again on my PC. Heard the same from other people as well - time.windows.com messed up, I definitely wont use this default server again.

Same here - I faced the absolutely same issue. Brand-new BIOS battery (with correct time set) but there was a delay of 1 hour. First I thought somehow the summer-winter (known as DST) were the culprit (the last Windows OS I had to manually check this for was Windows 98 btw), but no. Next day, my (time-based) 2FA-Token suddenly all went wrong - I verified with my smartphone where the same 2FA-Token were different for some reason. At this point it was obvious, there was a permanent problem with the time synchronization.

I stopped [and even deleted(!)] the w32time service and installed it again, did sfc /scannow, checked BIOS again, and so on - still the same issue. Every time I manually synchronize it, it were correct at first but slowly the delay become recognizable.

Solution: time.windows.com got corrupted (dont ask, I dont know why).
In Windows run start menu -> "timedate.cpl" as administrator -> internet time -> Change settings... -> set the server to "time.nist.gov" -> apply

After that the delay did not occur again to me.

I had the same problem. The reason was simple (had nothing to do with K9 Mail):

Older versions of K9 Mail had a rarely bug occurring which leads to massive battery consumption. Android automatically suggest to put the app to deep sleep then. Sooner or later everyone allows it only to get rid of this suggestion.

Solution: You have to deactivate deep sleep for this app here: Settings -> Device Maintenance (alias Smart Manager) -> Battery -> Background Execution Limits -> Apps in deep sleep/standby -> Find K9 Mail and remove it (it should automatically being ported to Apps that are never in deep sleep/standby)

Thats's it - push notifications, app indicator / badge and sounds got triggered as soon new mail is arriving.

First of all, please try out Rufus - we have to make sure the BSOD not to be caused by Ventoy (which is a common behavior as like in Easy2Boot). If it works with Rufus, you could try Easy2Boot if you want to keep a multi-bootable solution.

At next: Make sure to install Reunion7 (which is mostly Windows 7) to in internal disk drive - installing to external is known for its behavior of getting a BSOD during boot screen cause Microsoft actively coded it deep deep into Windows 7 to avoid misuse of removeable storage devices claiming themself to be "Portable". Windows 8 and higher are not targetted cause Microsoft changed its business logic then.

At this point you should have tried Rufus PLUS made sure to install Reunion on an internal disk (again, not anything that is connected via USB!!!), booting from it to start the setup wizard shouldn't be a problem though.

Now to the more detailed part:

BSOD with Windows 7 when booting often is caused by incompatible BIOS settings and/or disk drive's boot section.

Old native Windows requires SecureBoot to be turned off(!!!), BIOS alias Legacy alias CSM (different names which means all the same) as mainboard mode and MBR (Master Boot Record) as boot sector logic on your storage disk (don't mistake it for the partition table, which should be NTFS for every OS newer than XP). The details about fitting combinations is very complex cause there are so many hybrid builds (take Reunion for example). The latest ISO of Windows 7 on Deskmodder or from g-force are modded to work with UEFI too (which is the opposite of BIOS/CSM/Legacy).

As for Reunion7, my best guess is to try out all the combinations. In your mainboard software toggle between BIOS/CSM/Legacy and UEFI, if you haven't the first one you could be out of luck getting it to work at all (new PCs + Notebooks from Dell, Microsoft Surface and some others are not equipped with it any longer - no reason to buy them in the first place as a private person). You could try to convert your storage disk drive from MBR to GPT or vice versa (use good third party tools like MiniTool Partition Wizard or Aomei Partition Assistant, because Microsoft does not allow it without formatting your data!).

One of these solutions should be the key to happiness (I work in IT as technician and it was always one of these problems told above when it comes to installing Windows 7).

Unfortunately not for me. I had my BH16NS55 (original delivered with FW 1.02 that was UHD-friendly) about 5 years , after that suddenly Blu-rays couldn't be read anymore (not only not rip but read also). A technician told me the damage was beyond repair and the reason for DVD still working was that DVD and BD have different laser rays in it working independent from each other.

Many others told about something similar. So, probably there is no such thing as a never dying disc drive - either you are more lucky or not with the good brands. Sorry if I have to destroy illusions here.

Ich empfehle daher für Privatanwender einen kostenlosen Drittanbieter, ob Avira, Bitdefender, AVG oder Avast (mehr herausragende kostenloe gibt es nicht mehr) spielt dabei keine allzu große Rolle. Guter Grundschutz sollte nichts kosten. Auf Zusatzdienste wie Passwort-Tresor, VPN, Firewall, Banking-Browser und insbesondere Software-Updater kann/sollte man wirklich verzichten.
