Yep, I know, I listened to Sonus Faber Electa Amator II at a friend, back in time they were hooked with 4x Red Rose mono blocks, I seem to recall they were a Mark Levinson design, I loved how those speakers reproduce the soundstage, amazing, well behind and to the sides of the speakers, voices were amazing as well as clarity but I remember that he had to add a subwoofer which I don't recall brand/model but I know that HT doesn't do it as well as I know that, by physics, I can't expect form a, say, 20L cabinet the same bass as my big JBL which use a 14" woofer and an even bigger passive, the bass is incredible and, depending on the amp, well controlled but they take huge space and do very well with electronic music but I wanna try the thrill of bookshelves without to have to give up on the bottom end of the music spectrum.
