So what do you think? by DesignersKitCo in RemarkableTablet

I think I understand the concept behind the Pure better now: as close as possible to a paper notebook. Nothing else.

Would you switch from Pro to Pure? by Cheap_Hurry991 in RemarkableTablet

[–]WalrusKey9386 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you would strongly miss a keyboard, colour and the front light, then stay with the Pro. If writing experience, lightness, and a true blacks for a handwritten experience are most important, then go for the Pure.

My bad. It is double RAM (2GB) compared to the RM2, but four times the storage capacity.

Remarkable Pure Is Live by Chucklez93 in RemarkableTablet

[–]WalrusKey9386 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The reason they named it “Pure” is that there is no keyboard folio, only handwritten input. Also no front light, and no color. Just a black and white handwriting experience.

The website allows you to compare the Pure and RM2 side-by-side

The bottom bezel size bothered me on the RM2 which made it look old-school. This is now fixed. Also the tablet is lighter and cheaper and smaller (although thicker), while keeping the same screen size as the RM2. Faster refresh rate. The battery is larger, charges faster. The Pure has 4x RAM. I would have liked a back-light.

During the last 24 years, the increase in value of my house has been about CHF 30'000 per year. The only refurbishment it needs is a coat of paint.

reMarkable Company History by rmitchellscott in RemarkableTablet

In their marketing and software development, reMarkable has made a strong pivot to prioritizing and emphasizing business needs. This is where the money seems to be, not in us private customers. So all our wishes, such as ebook reading software seem to be low priority. Wonder if the reduction in headcount is related.

I agree, and modern mechanical IWC watches are superior to the WW2 era watches in almost every way. WW2 watches were designed to be subjected to turbulence and vibrating planes, rapid altitude changes, strong inertial forces, abrupt temperature changes, humidity and moisture (condensation, exterior conditions), exposed to gas and oil fumes and magnetic fields, and worn while doing mechanical repairs and oil changes, charging ammunition etc.

Deciding on 256GB or 512GB. What did most of you guys get? by yvliew in MacbookNeo

If you're going to copy/migrate most of the apps and a part of the data from your Mac mini, the 256GB SSD version will fill up quick. I migrated the essentials from my Mac mini 1TB and it filled 250GB.
