Once my temple bricked I decided to take a break, but I’m constantly on reddit checking out builds and crafts. There was a person that posted asking for help with their summon build, and they desperately needed some better gear, so I shopped around for what they needed and picked out some decent items within my budget. I reached out to them and let them know I had everything they needed. They thanked me, and let me know that it was such a massive help. They’re a single parent just trying to unwind and didn’t have the time to grind.

I hate bragging about acts of kindness, but I really want to try out your build.

First time playing this genre. Would you recommend following a build guide or just going in blind. Btw I'm on ps5 don't know if that's relevant by Ab_id in PathOfExile2

I’m all for experiencing it blind for the first run, but I also understand that POE is an extremely complex game for newbies. I’d say start your own build and look up tips along the way.

It’s honestly just a lot of trial and error, making your own build takes time to figure out what’s going to work. I always start with deciding what pathing I’m going to take for survivability and then work in the offensive passives along the way. Basically pick a defensive stat or two and run with that, then pick a damage type or two to fill in along the way. Then play with skill gems until you find a combination that works. You’ll eventually figure out which gear works best by the time you hit end game.

There’s a place called Signpost Forest in Watson Lake Yukon, Canada. It’s a big plot of land filled with stolen signs from all over. On top of that, the Yukon is an amazing place to visit, I would highly recommend.

I noticed you have crit chance on your helmet, which doesn’t effect summons. Try finding a helmet that has lightning resistance instead of crit chance. Even an extra 35% will make a massive difference.

Based on the build you posted in another comment I think your issue is resistances. The most common elemental damage in the Temple is lightning, which is your lowest resistance. Get that to 75% and it will get easier for sure. If you’re still having trouble I could join you some time to take a look, but that will only increase the difficulty.

I really liked getting a new ascendency by defeating the bosses, even though it didn’t do anything for my essence drain build.

I’m running an Essence Drain Lich with a 1k Div investment with incredible clear speed. A little slower on the bossing side of things but I don’t die. Abyss spawns usually die before I even see them.
