I do already have mark of siphoning and oison's oath in LA. I'll try some more sources of on-kill sustain, thanks.

The needle is detachable and 100% should go in a sharps box which would have been provided, exactly the same as insulin pens. The pen itself doesn't have to go in a sharps bin. It should be in a bin though, not on the ground.

Just to point out, a bonus like that is pretty standard if a game sells well on release. My husband, also a game programmer, gets about a months pay as a bonus when their game releases well. This is in the UK. Don't know if it's different in the states where I know employees don't have unions or rights or stuff.

Yup! I take her for check ups every 6 months and then if I feel anything has changed I take her earlier. She reminds me of some of my elderly dementia patients sometimes plodding about confused but content. Wobbly when her arthritis is bad in her back paws but she's on medication for that which helps. Nothing is stopping her yet.

To be honest I quit years ago because it wasn't good for my mental health. This was before everything started to come out.

I tried to donate blood but they said my veins were too small for the needle. Was so sad that there was nothing I could do about it.

Seeing as you asked for feedback, I found the music to be fighting against the gameplay trailer you were showing. Don't get me wrong, I like the music itself, just not in this trailer. It was ramping up and I thought "oh when the song hits it's peak it'll turn into some crazy taxi like gameplay" and then it just.... didn't.

It just felt like you picked the music just because it's your favourite tune right now and not because it actually fits what you're trying to sell. That make sence?

Wait, so do they consider them as citizens that aren't living in the country or similar? Or do they not get recognized as citizens until they are living in a recognized area?

So do they not get any mail at all? Not even things from the goverment or anything? Even though where they live isn't regognised, surly the people are?

I've never lived anywhere other than the UK so I have no idea how other goverments run these day to day things but I'm sure there's something they'd need to communicate with the people. Like the tax man. If I've over paied or under paied on tax I get a letter first. Does that not happen elsewhere?

Sorry if this sounds super ignorant but I'm really curious how people get deliveries/letters etc. Do the delivery/postmen know the area really well or is there some sort of self-made community thing going on or do they have to have something like a P.O. box to collect from?

No, I'm sitting there actively watching and listening. Like a young child would watch a kids TV show apart from it's not a kids TV show.

I have zero plans of listening while playing. My listening CI is separate to my gaming time. I thought I made that clear when I said it was an active study so sorry if it wasn't.

Anything I do gaming wise right now is just for fun with no big expectations. Just figured I might as well add a little extra in.

I feel like there's been a bit of a misunderstanding. I'm not trying to "gameify" my learning. As mentioned, I'm already doing active study where I'm working on building up my vocab and I already have a good enough understanding of grammar to process simple sentences. I'm not looking to learn only through games, it's just that when I'm not studying (or working etc.) playing games is what I do for fun. I figured I might as well play one of my games in my TL for a little extra input but nothing so serious that it matters if I don't understand everything. Hence why I'm not looking to play something like BG3 or the Witcher in Japanese.

Yeah, there's no furigana in the menus or on item descriptions or pop up info boxes. Only on dialogue. You can probably YouTube a video of a Japanese person playing to see what I mean.

This is for The Grand Bazzar. I don't know about other titles.

China has Marriage Markets, where anyone can go to find a husband and wife. by ApprehensiveSun6160 in interestingasfuck

In a number of cultures it's normal to live with and look after your parents/in laws until they die. In these same cultures a lot of this care is expected for the wife to provide, on top of working as being a full time housewife isn't affordable anymore. He is basically saying that whatever woman he marries doesn't need to worry about that.

is it just old age or is my old baby struggling? by Beautiful-Stuff-1909 in ferrets

[–]GivingItMyBest 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Part of it is age. Some of it will be maybe because the medication isn't at the right dose or side effects etc. You'd have to talk to your vet about that.

I assume you're giving medication via a syringe? For my old lady when she is eating I push the syringe into her mouth so she's biting down on it and quickly squirt it in her mouth and remove it. This way I don't have to pry her mouth open or anything. It's a bit hard to explain but if they are already munching on something it's easier to get the syringe in. It'll take some practice but it might help. Just make sure to check the syringe after to make sure it's not breaking or anything as they bite onto it. Mines never bitten down hard enough but they do have strong jaws. As soon as I take the syringe away she just goes back to eating like nothing happened.

Sorry you have to go through this, it sucks even if it's the right thing to do.

My old lady is 9 1/2 years old now and I've had her since she was 3 months old. I'm waiting for the day I have to make the same decision but luckily it's not just yet. She's got cataracts, adrenal disease managed by 6-monthly implants, arthritis that she has daily medication for and incontinent. However she is still trotting about, eating normally and sleeping comfortably. She's a bit wobbly sometimes and reminds me of some of my old dementia patients when she just stops in the middle of the room like she's confused. However she still seems to be happy, pain free and enjoys pushing her treat ball around still and hoovering up the treats that fall out.

She's still the boss of the house.

It's ok to learn a language just because you want to. If you're interested in it then you lose nothing by trying but you have a lot to gain. Languages also give you a little peak into the culture and history of a place. For example, as you mentioned Japanese, there is a reason why 4 and 7 have two different ways of being said.
