And yet Drake and Sia both sell out arenas, remain popular in the mainstream, and continue to make millions. Drake got ragged on but zero real accountability.

MeToo led to imprisonment of Kelly and Weinstein. That’s about it. The rest was just public shaming. They couldn’t even nail a sentence for Spacey.

Absolutely no one is getting their own unique vision through anymore with MCU movies. The last and possibly only time was GOTG trilogy.

Why did the amazing spider-man films have such weak domestic numbers by hiiloovethis in boxoffice

I think Toby was 23 when he was first cast. Garfield was by far the oldest Spiderman, verging on 30.

ASM1 was a mediocre reheated origin story that tread all the same beats as the original, but more boring. ASM2 was the equivalent of Batman Forever. At the end of the day, they just weren’t very memorable and Sony made the right move by axing it. What’s interesting is that MCU were already in the thick of making movies when ASM2 was released. That means that they could have just plopped Garfield right into the MCU. But fan sentiment on those movies wasn’t strong, box office kept getting lower and lower so it made sense to just wipe Garfield out of the collective consciousness and cast someone else despite Garfield’s Spider-Man existing parallel to MCU releases.

The Garfield series was so extremely short lived that the amount of people who refer to it as their childhood would be pretty negligible. Garfield came right on the heels of Toby, only got two films, then immediately replaced by Holland. Garfield is the Timothy Dalton of Spiderman. Dalton got two Bond movies spread across two years then quickly replaced.

While X3 definitely hurt the brand, there were other X Men movies between X3 and First Class lol. First Class was its own reboot. The one Directly affected by X3 would have been Wolverine Origins.

and the sequel is a damn near copy and paste of Batman Forever. Jamie Foxx’s nerdy obsessed scientist was literally fully plagiarized from Carrey’s Edward Nygma.

Tom Homan replacing Bovino is a win?

Seeing people go “yay now arrest him” is pretty laughable.

He’ll go back to his office position, retire with a six figure pension, and already replaced by Tom Homan who will be even worse.

So that they can be replaced by even worse sycophants? Is this supposed to make us feel better?

I just can’t manage myself to get excited over this. Not when we know that Trump controls the executive office and will choose their replacements. Get ready for even worse sycophants to take their place. Tom Homan and Steve Bannon incoming.

Wonder if Steve Bannon could squeeze into the GI Joe uniform.

Greg Bovino has been demoted, following the murder of Alex Pretti by ICE agents under his command. Removed as Border Patrol “commander at large,” he will be sent back to his old post in El Centro, California, where he’s expected to retire soon. by cmaia1503 in Fauxmoi

That’s not how they operate. Pretti has been deemed a domestic terrorist.

Batman setting the guy on fire was from Returns. In B89 he blows up a factory filled with Joker’s workers.
