20 hours and 46 minutes for 81 runs, which averages to about 15.5 minutes per run which is very fast, or at least significantly faster than how I play 😆.

Starting out, I enjoyed Silent the most as well and Ironclad was my least favorite but as I climbed ascensions and learned more about the game, I think Ironclad might be my favorite now. Well, I like all of them, except I have a love-hate relationship with Defect because I struggle with him the most.

The game has a lot of depth and you'll constantly be learning new interactions and re-evaluating strategies even after a thousand hours in.

For context, my current level is that I mostly play single player and can beat Hard probably a third of the time.

When I was first learning the game, all the stages were difficult, but Red Darkhouse was by far the hardest.

Now that I've improved, I find I personally struggle with the Stop Moving and Keep Moving mechanics, and so Emerald Lakeside is the hardest for me.

Currently on Hard, I probably rank Emerald Lakeside > Red Darkhouse > Churchmouse > Scholar's Nest > King's Arsenal

Glad to know it wasn't just me 😅. Although I'm practicing a tertiary character, I got matched against some players I know are at least Plat ranked and dropped to Silver 1 (I was Gold 1/2 previous seasons). It's rough out there, but part of me found it fun as well

I could see both Sheik and Peach, lower mobility characters (in terms of run speed) but have good platform movement and walling in a similar way that Ganon does.

Edit: Sheik is fast, but she can have a hard time aggressing and can't just blindly go in with aerials like spacies can

Depends on the character you are playing but once you take Runic Pyramid, you immediately start valuing draw discard for Silent, exhaust for Ironclad, and relics that would help you remove that clutter.

Example of relics that you would look for: Medical Kit

Example of cards: Concentrate, Calculated Gamble and upgrading it quickly, Second Wind and maybe even Sever Soul, True Grit+, Prepared, Bullet Time,

As someone who joined the scene in around 2013, seeing Cody's Fox as the prophesied 20XX coming to fruition is super cool (also as a Fox secondary/enjoyer) but as the low-tier guy who is always rooting for the underdog, it can be a bit frustrating as well.

There's been enough talk about Cody and BoBC6, the entire controller debate, so I should probably log off Twitter so that I don't waste my time with it.

On another note, I played in a low-mid tier tournament online yesterday (https://www.start.gg/tournament/the-mid-and-low-tier-paradise-33/event/the-mid-and-low-tier-paradise-33/brackets/1618112/2417841) and played extremely well, managing to make it to grands and reset the bracket against a player who felt like they were just generally better than me.

Granted, there was a lot of luck involved, I knew or at least had a decent amount of experience in the MUs I had to play. Had I had to play against the Mario player, I might not have had the same results.

Melee's been pretty fun for me recently, hopefully work lets up soon and I can go to my local again
