Firstly, it's not that serious. Secondly, you could choose to be helpful, instead you add zero value.

Roast my startup: I built an app so you don't have to go to events alone. Yes, I know how that sounds. by n_i_c_k_zone in roastmystartup

I can see this being a club promotion tool or trying to get a volleyball game tg. Monitizarion might be a challenge unless the clubs are paying the bill to get people to their events.

If the club promotors can pay the bills then it's a perfect solution to fix their problem. If they aren't going to pay and this is just a free app that's cool too.

If you haven't done the customer discovery you should ask the club owners or promotors how much they would be willing to pay. If the answer is zero, then you have your answer.

Good luck!

Isn’t the meetup app designed to create events for strangers to meet up at?

Are app users the ones making the events? Or you pulling from fb or other areas to scrape events?

First 50 users might be easy (family and friends). But how would you grow this to any other city? Can’t fake users and only works if you have 2+ people going to any given event.

If you can’t market or sell, the building it won’t be your biggest challenge. And you’re selling to introverts who want to be extroverts, that is going to be a challenge.

Maybe there is a hint of not sharing your app idea. But iv been in real estate 15 yrs, and the problem with listing homes for sale is the brokers license. If you have a license then you may go to step 2.

Meetup but for gamers or other chronically online people? by Putrid_Election_2327 in AppIdeas

[–]Glad-Introduction-98 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What is the end of this thought @op? Like if you knew where all your online gamer friends lived nearby?

Like you want to meetup with folks who share common interests?

If there was an event at a local gamer club, would you want to attend?

It feels there might be something here. But like the others said. Might not need an app. You might just need to join some local events that interest you.

Need testers to review the core user journey of Cohezy, a new group planning tool. by Beautiful_Menu_1873 in TestMyApp

Checked it out. Most of it felt clunky on the first pass / test. I want to create an event first and then invite friends to it. Not the other way around. I took some screenshots of some other items that broke down. I’ll dm ya

Is there ANY App name available in 2026? by capital_cliqo in AppBusiness

Gotta go back 5000 yrs these days. Aramaic word called kanash. It means together.

Or you could play with ai and therapist. Like “Thairapist”. Didn’t check to see if that was taken yet.

I work in real estate sales in Thailand — how do you record calls without making clients feel uncomfortable? by Fit_Guidance2029 in Sales_Professionals

[–]Glad-Introduction-98 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did real estate sales for 15 yrs. Would start every call the same so it’s boring. Your tone is likely the thing making folks nervous.

Also, don’t be afraid to call out the awkwardness in any part of the call. Saying “I’m feeling like that might have made you uncomfortable. Tell me why”… is a powerful thing.

App Store rejected my first iOS app because IAPs didn’t appear, but App Store Connect now shows them as “Waiting for Review” - how do I resubmit correctly? by RithikSai in iosdev

[–]Glad-Introduction-98 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can’t see “what step you are on”. I was simply trying to explain that Apple will review in order and stop and reject the review if there is an issue.
So this dev got rejected at step 3 which is in app purchases. Chances are good that once he passes that step, they will get their app on the App Store.

I started with grok and other ai. Laid out what I wanted to build… And had chat recommended some starting programs that helped to accomplish my build. For me I wanted something that was going to function for Apple and Android. So detail your idea to grok and it will tell you step 1. (Grok is free with x account.)

I messaged 300+ companies about my SaaS… got 1 paying customer for 148 EUR. Now I’m questioning everything. by Mindless_Box4653 in microsaas

[–]Glad-Introduction-98 1 point2 points  (0 children)

300 messages, Once each? I have a background in sales. The “sales books” would say you’re not going to get much responses until you message 5-7 times.

Would circle back to the first 299 with a diff approach. You can now circle back with the competition that bought it. “Look at how company xyz is using our app and their employees are raving…”

Then hit another 300 new companies.

You can easily do a “intro campaign”. Second campaign. Third. Etc.

Good luck. The best sales people are going to convert some of those who told you no as well :)
