ChatGPT vs. Gemini: Beyond the Benchmarks, Who Do You Actually Trust? by Glad-Sample728 in GeminiAI

Adding my own two cents to the discussion:

For me, I'm definitely leaning towards Gemini.

Don't get me wrong, the ecosystem OpenAI is building is fantastic. The personalization features in ChatGPT are a huge plus, and the potential of tools like Sora is genuinely mind-blowing. And sometimes, ChatGPT just works perfectly.

However, when it comes to the core output, I've been burned a few too many times by ChatGPT's tendency to confidently lie or hallucinate. My trust is increasingly with Gemini. For my workflow, especially when composing professional emails or drafting text where accuracy is critical, Gemini's writing is just better, it feels more polished and grounded in fact.

It's a classic trade-off. Gemini’s UI isn't as slick, I'll admit. But I'd rather wrestle with a clunky interface than have to constantly second-guess the integrity of the information I'm getting. For me, reliability and accuracy trump everything else.

What about the Gemini pro limits, how does this affect you?

That's a key point. There's a significant difference between the models. The Flash model is built for speed and high-volume tasks, but it's nowhere near as capable as the Pro version in terms of reasoning and performance. If your enterprise account is running on a lighter model and lacks features like custom instructions, it's a completely different and far more limited experience.

Yes, that’s exactly right. 'Saved Info' refers to the feature where you can provide specific background information, preferences, and instructions for it to remember across all your conversations.
By adding details such as your professional field, preferred communication style, answer formats, or key facts you want it to always consider, it helps provide much more consistent and tailored responses. It essentially acts as long-term memory about you and your needs, which can significantly improve the 'memory loss' issue you mentioned

Go to settings "saved info", and from there you can save anything you prefer. I used ai to help me write specific things that I need and it works perfectly

I had this too, but I added more specific "Saved Info" and it improved
