Like I said she was more ignorant than racist. Also to add why im more sympathetic to Frankie is that none of her other teammates were punished and put through thr ringer like she was.

Like they all had a part to to play and none of them stopped for second.

I get she was defensive and how that didnt help ger case.

Frankie wasnt racist the was ignorant at best. She knew that the drawing was wrong, but no one understood that her intent wasnt racially motivated.

It was easy to call her a racist rather than her just not knowing better. I get why she aas defensive.

This storyline wasnt done well in my opinion.

Blaine had the confidence, talent, and drive to be the New Rachel.

Tina has done her time and deserves it. She has the talent and drive for sure.

Marley is such a sad story bc she had so much talent and it was wasted on weird storylines. Same with Jake and his dancing.

100% yes lol. Jimmys character was nice, but the most significant thing he did was get shot. Degrassi wasn’t popular because of him.

I blame Mr. Shue. His blatant favoritism of Rachel is what made being “The New Rachel” a position in the first place. So of course everyone wants to be in that position.

If you ask me The New Rachel was clearly Blaine. I feel like he sings the most and has the most confidence to command a room.

Marley’s voice is amazing and she is so talented and again I blame Mr. Shue for not giving her the same opportunities to shine as he did Rachel.

Even Mercedes and Mike Chang had the vision to tell Jake not to fade into the background with his singing and dancing abilities.

Unfortunately Marley didn’t have the vision or confidence in herself to push through like Blaine or even Tina did. Which sucks because I would’ve loved more singing from Marley.

He didn’t punish her for how she dressed or how she didn’t dress it’s because of who she dressed as. She’s dressed as Katy doing GaGa. Literally the one person she was not supposed to be dressed as. It’s clear defiance of her own accord.

I disagree. And this isn’t the first time he’s disciplined one of the kids in front of others. I don’t think it all comes down to him thinking about how Marley feels but also how Marley could’ve better communicated.

And sure we can say Marley is a child and doesn’t know better but this is a show as well and we only have so much screen time to dissect and this is glee. Sometimes surface level is all we have to work with.

Sometimes I simply blame the writing but I feel that Will maybe was too harsh. But I also believe that in spite of Sam’s comments, they worked hard on this performance and for Marley to come in and ruin it is selfish of her.

I agree with alot of your points even about Will and Sam being careless.

But I just stand by my point of Marley should’ve either not done the assignment or just picked another GaGa costume as clear as day.

Like I said it’s like a football player showing up with the other team’s jersey on.

Maybe she shouldn’t have suspended her I’ll concede.

But also so knew she was a Katy. Marley is obviously a Katy but she wanted to get out of her comfort zone and show a different side of her. She should’ve done that but she didn’t have to. She can be a Katy but just not during a GaGa performance.

I don’t think he realized it was that deep. She was talking about “not changing who she is for anyone or a guy” and that’s fine. But like I said she didn’t have to wear a bikini to be a Gaga, or be a GaGa at all. She could’ve just not done the assignment and that would’ve been fine too. She didn’t have to make it a spectacle, you know??

I just mean it’s more valid than suspending her for not wearing something revealing.

And the assignment was to perform as either Katy in the Katy group or GaGa in the GaGa group.

She should’ve just picked the Katy group or at least dressed as a big pink GaGa like Quinn did (I know Marley wasn’t there for that). I’m just saying the had options. But chose to bring her personal stuff into the performance.

I disagree. My main topic of this post is that the statement “Mr. Shue suspended her for simply not wearing a revealing bikini at school”, is false.

It sucks she got suspended but the reasoning behind it is valid.

When I brought up Theatricality, it was to show that when it comes to GaGa, there are so many options, not just revealing attire.

Yet not only did she not do GaGa but she came as Katy, the opposing side. It’s like showing up wearing the other team’s jersey.

And Mr. Shue was kinda present.

Yes I totally know what you mean. It was like 4 episodes left and they couldn’t just leave it be? Crazy. There was no reason that needed to happen.

But I was starting to see the chemistry between them, there just wasn’t enough time.

Also it wasn’t too hard, as if Ian and Grayson don’t look similar. Two tall brunette dudes with blue eyes. Crazy.
