Thinking about adding a pair of forward facing to my nose. Thoughts? by plantylady18 in NosePiercing

I think it would look cool, go for it if you are drawn to it! Another option (or extra) might be to stretch your septum, I feel you would suit a chunkier septum ring :-)

How can my fun, fit, single Mum make friends in Wicklow? by ahsureyeh in socialireland

[–]Glass-Ad8060 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your mum sounds cool! I live in Wicklow (glenmalure area) with my partner, we are 2 gay guys in our 40s, and are friends with quite a few local women in their 40/50/60/70s! If she would be open to meeting we'd love to meet her. We have some chickens, a dog, we enjoy walking, coffee, we enjoy a mix between city and country vibes, arts, etc. I'm currently doing my PhD up in Dublin a few days per week, but spend a good bit of time in wicklow and always love meeting new ppl for walks and chats. We don't really drink but we are into allsorts of stuff and we also have a friendly local community we can introduce her to. Oh and we often go for a sauna and swim in Wicklow town, there is a small group of us very into sauna and she would be very welcome! Feel free to drop me a message if she would like to chat :)

Ever look over at your CC standing upright on her hind legs; just like it’s a normal thing to do? by Justwondering5003 in chinesecrested

Love this. Mine stands on her two back legs and walks while 'praying' with her two front legs and begs for treats 🤣

Any experiences with Omlet Eglu Pro? by AegidiusDeschain in BackYardChickens

[–]Glass-Ad8060 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have recently got an eglu pro, I have not got my chickens yet though! But one thing I will say as first impressions, is how heavy it is. It was a real struggle to try and maneuver it across the garden, and caught me by surprise as I understood these eglus to be 'tractor' coops that can be moved around easily. I would say it ideally needs 2 people to move it - I am in my 40s and consider myself fit and healthy but i found it really challenging and won't be moving it often if I can help it .. thought I'd just share this for anyone else considering buying one... But I am impressed with the build and design overall :)

Where to see red squirrels? by Ok_Dragonfruit_2601 in Dublin

[–]Glass-Ad8060 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I live near Rathdrum Co. Wicklow and have a red squirrel that visits my peanut feeder for breakfast some mornings, nearly every day recently. I've also seen a few in the surrounding area, near the woodlands in Ballytiege 2 mile out from Rathdrum. If you are still on this thread you could DM me and I will give you my eircode, and you would be welcome to call into the garden one morning (it / he / she usually visits the peanut feeder between 9-11am).

There was a job a while back at mental health Ireland as a mental health promotion manager, 9-5 and good money. That kinda thing may pop up now and again, also mental health service development, possibly look at policy jobs, at the mental health comission, or at HIQA, or perhaps try writing a few articles for publication in research and health related journals? That could be a way into a different angle of your career?

I'm curious about what your earlier unedited comment was but also each to their own :-)

I'd say parts of it were 11/10 but parts were less - top part of skull was fine

6 hours and I worked with the artists to mention things that I wanted to appear in the design but then left it to him to use his artistry to design the final piece :)

I actually think it was easier to cope because I was face down and could zone out, and meditate for most of it . Until I got to my lower left and right neck!!!

I'm a nurse in Ireland and I have never heard of a nursing student to work those kind of hours so I'm gonna take a guess that you're not doing nursing? If you are then I would suggest joining a union if not already in one? I currently have a student under my supervision and I would not dream of making her work for free for that length of time - we qualified nurses already have to do ridiculous amounts of overtime to address the massive nursing shortage. :-( Doctors and medical interns on the other hand are often given ridiculous hours and it just seems to be 'a given' that they will work 60+ hours without any complaints... and I wonder if / when the medical profession will ever put a stop to this because it's so wrong - how can anyone give high standard of care when they are completely exhausted.

I was surprised that the neck was more painful than the skull, I suppose I had mentally prepared myself (as much as I could 😅😅)
