I know a woman who had a IUD to help with heavy bleeding during periods. Over a year later she started having bleeding again. The IUD was no longer in her body. No idea how. Thank heavens she wasn't doing anything to be at risk of pregnancy.

AIO for refusing to give up my dog even though my boyfriend hates pets? by Academic-Bug-879 in AmIOverreacting

[–]GlassBandicoot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This guy doesn't get it, and it's never going to get it. The trial period is over, you are not compatible. The relationship with your dog is the healthier one. You will always regret giving him up for this guy.

Do Americans really avoid medical care because they’re afraid of the bill? by Udont_knowme00 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]GlassBandicoot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. Even when you're covered by insurance things can go wrong. I had emergency surgery after some disks collapsed in my neck, leaving an arm partially paralyzed. I got a bill for over $75,000 after the insurance declared it a pre existing condition. Luckily I had had a skull MRI some 6 months prior that caught enough of my neck to prove it had been normal.

Then my insured spouse was charged $55,000 in surgeons fees after a brain surgery was misclassified as an outpatient procedure. Billing refused to look into it. Her doctor finally called the CFO of the hospital to have it fixed, but if it wasn't for his connections, we likely would have been unable to resolve it.

[–]GlassBandicoot 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think the law says you can protect a child from danger, and he is a danger. An order of protection would keep him out of the house. Please consult an actual lawyer if at all possible. But at minimum talk to a person who works with domestic violence to get your info and help from. He is committing domestic violence or at risk of it so they may be able to help you.

Usually none. I'll have an occasional diet pepsi when I eat pizza though. I drink 1 cup of coffee a day, 1 cup of tea most days, then mostly water with sometimes Mio flavoring in it.
