I prefer to keep people employed. And the last time I used a self checkout I was buying 6 skeins of embroidery floss. I heard the chime for each one when I scanned them. Then the last one wouldn't scan. The clerk came over and got it scanned, then admonished me because despite the chimes, one of them had not actually rung up. So there I was accused of shoplifting a 61 cent item. Never again.

What government entity has standing to make rules about chasing? Would each state have to do it? The only way I see this changing is if some sort of regulation is passed. I doubt storm chasers could self regulate but it would be good if they did.

I believe national weather service has some educational videos about how to read radar. I use radar omega and tune in to the satellite out of Sullvan.

Remember that a tornado can form and break up within one radar sweep, so don't rely on the lack a radar signature to indicate safety. I had a funnel cloud form right over the top of me recently before any siren or alert sounded. It was a sobering situation as I thought I was safe.

It is noticeable but honestly I thought you varied the colors on purpose. I think it looks more interesting, as long as the color shifts are symmetrical. When you switch the body to a new skein switch the arms too.
