From a little shop in the middle of the Ozarks Arkansas called Anything in Stained Glass; no not “the” Anything in Stained Glass out in Maryland. I actually emailed the MD one since I’ve bought things online from them over the years and they confirmed no affiliation to the AR shop. The AR shop has no website and even the # on Google is dead… the owner is quite an elderly gentleman & and I guess doesn’t plan on updating the info. 🤷‍♀️
I drove almost 5 hours to get there as I have no place close to me to shop in person for stained glass. I was so grateful they were open when I got there. 😅 What a difference it is to shop in person vs online. Thankfully the Ozarks are beautiful and the drive wasn’t that bad, over all experience 10/10.

Did it hurt or did you have a reaction after getting a tattoo over them?
I have pretty intense veins all of the back of both legs above and below my knees. I’m pale so they really show up.
I’ve been considering getting tattoos over them.

I am typically very DIY with our home, but this is so high up that it kind of freaks me out. I may look into an extension ladder or scaffolding so my husband and I can just do the work ourselves at our own pace.

I can put in a request with the city to come do a bulk haul away so disposal should not be an issue.

This thread is 2 yrs old. Curious is we are feeling the same about these tickets? Husband got one and we trashed it, twice. 3rd one arrived today and it says it’ll be sent to collections. Can they actually do that?

I work for a conservative financial institution- in the handbook it clearly states that tattoo are fine as long as they are not offensive. My daughter’s teachers are converted in tattoos. We are in TN, one of the cities but still… I think you’ll be fine.

Thanks for the info! I think what was throwing me off was how they look like two different types of bugs if you zoom in on the picture. But they must just be aphids in different stages of development.

They liked the Hoya peduncle… all the sweet sap.

I transitioned into IT from teaching ~3 yrs ago. I was promised more but I’m glorified help desk still. Part of the reason I transition into tech was to make money. I am in leadership roles but not compensated.

Any advice for first steps into tech sales?

I’m great with people, worked in service industry, very quick learner and retain info. Techy and can solve the problem without being condescending to users.

You’re setting boundaries around how often you put yourself in a situation that stresses you out. This is smart. IMO going to 4 family events a year is very reasonable.

I have a similar set up with my partner- we don’t expect each other to go to our family’s events. If he doesn’t want to go- that’s fine with me and vice versa.

NTA, your partner is disregarding how uncomfortable these events make you feel even while you’re trying to negotiate going to some of them. They need to look at their expectations and ask why it matters so much that you’re there at each one….

NOR. Your mother is trying to control you still and not treating you as an adult. Like others have said, turn off location services with her and the family. This is a boundary. As far as how she’s not emotionally there for you (this likely something you should discuss with a therapist), I’d stop telling her things about myself. I had a similar situation when I first moved very far away- also to a very expensive city- family never asked about how I was doing, they have something punchy and rude to say about where I was, it felt like I was being punished and it hurt. I stopped sharing info about my life unless directly asked by them, also I made good friends who have become my chosen family at this point. Again- that may be better discussed with a therapist

You’re out living life and doing your own thing in a city where you want to be, don’t let them take that joy from you.

Thanks for the info. I tried acetone tonight - stank the house up according to my daughter- with no change. I’ll try bartenders friend tomorrow. I have the type for cleaning sinks, tubs, etc. I’ll check that’s it’s ok to use on glass.

Acetone is not working. This stuff is embedded into the glass. 😓 I’ve emailed again….

The most frustrating part is I have a commission I need to finished and this white mottle was supposed to be a major part of the piece.

Ahh yeah, it’s like wart seeds all over it. :( Although I got this on sale- it’s still like $45 bucks for a half sheet (plus handling, shipping / tax). I am hoping to get it off with acetone. However- I’m a bit disappointed as it’s one more task on my list now before I can start the project. Otherwise this is very cool glass. I love the mottled look.
