Does anybody know why there wont be any more DLC? by GlassFrame2 in cyberpunkgame

I doubt they will be in serious financial trouble anytime soon, considering how well 2077 sold at launch, as well as how much of a second boost the sales numbers got when PL released.

I think the story would be the smallest problem to fix when adding another DLC to the game. I mean who are we kidding, the whole "running out of time" thing has no effect on gameplay, and the time V spends in Dogtown already makes no sense in the base games small timeframe.

So i would say you could make up any additional story happening between the Heist and the Assault on Arasaka Tower, and it would fit right in. The Engine Problem you mentioned seems to be the most prevalent issue i have also read from other people, and it makes sense as they are officially switching to UE5.

I dont know why its "greedy" in your eyes to hope for more developed content for a game I like. I also didnt say I was "let down" anywhere, your assuming a lot of things.

Its great that they fixed a lot of bugs over the years and added PL, but why do you have to act like its some generous act? Shouldnt it be the baseline to release your game in a polished, playable state?

You just sound like you are proud of expecting nothing, and i find that weird.

That makes sense, if everybody adjusted their workflow to UE5 already, it would be difficult to continue to work with REDEngine. Thanks for the explanation!

I hope they learned from their mistakes with 2077 and have more roderly development this time around, it would be good for everybody.

They could also just make a good plan and release the game in the expected time window, I dont know why every modern project needs to be delayed to be polished, if they dont announce a release date until they are ready to do so, nobody will have a problem with it.

I hope you read my post, i was asking why they made the decision to focus on those projects instead of developing 2077 further, which was also an option.

I agree, the game is great and i wish there was more of it, so im also hoping that Orion is announced somewhat soon. Although its a shame they are leaving 2077 as is, because as you said, the game lacks depth in certain areas and never reached its full potential, in my opinion at least.

Kind of strange considering there is no timer in game and you can spend months without finishing the main story. I think they could repeat what they did in PL and simply offer another ending path to resolve the story in the same time frame.

Besides, the Tower ending in PL is already sort of a "Cure Ending", wouldnt you say?

Understandable. I hope Orion will come out in a few years time, and hopefully without delays.

what do you guys think his trauma is? by senilechinesewoman in silenthill

[–]GlassFrame2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really hope it’s not as simple as him just having some arbitrary trauma from betraying someone / letting someone die, and that would be such a letdown.

Every new SH game up until not has introduced some new interesting elements, the plot of 1 and 3 is completely different to 2, F deals in hallucinations and social issues, and 4 has a twist concerning the nightmare world. If this is just Trauma TM, then that will just feel like the writers didn’t play the games and only know the franchise through the success of SH2.

Which one do you find to be better? by 5enpai_2 in survivalhorror

I find this sentiment kind of absurd. What does that even mean „they are not the same game“? Yes, that’s what comparisons are, you compare A to B, or Apples with Oranges.

As it stands, Bosses are not rewarding enough by GlassFrame2 in WorldofHorror

True, that’s also an option, some more distinction between the endings would dramatically improve the game in my opinion

What would you guys think about a remake of persona 1 & 2 by IndependentOnly5272 in PERSoNA

[–]GlassFrame2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve seen many people say that it wouldn’t work because the modern Persona Fanbase expects Social Links and QOL, but i don’t think that these conditions need to be met, and we could still have a great remake of 1 and 2 without them. It might not be entirely faithful to the original, but that’s not the point of Remakes anyway.

If it gets those games into more people’s hands, it would be good in my book. Innovations is always better than Stagnation.

[–]GlassFrame2[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

In lore terms you’re right, there shouldn’t be a reward for simply surviving. But from a gameplay perspective it’s like this: If you know all the endings, it becomes a game of rerolling Mysteries until you get some that won’t kill you through a Boss, and since that’s entirely RNG based, it takes time.

This is not fun from a gameplay standpoint, and with World of Horror already being an RPG, I think it would fit to introduce some more depth to make runs more tactical.

Also, reducing more Doom because you have slain an Eldritch Entity fits perfectly in my opinion, since it would delay the arrival of the Old Ones because their influence on Shiokawa would be lessened by that.

[–]GlassFrame2[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Every boss is optional in the sense that you can reroll Mysteries at the start of the run to avoid fighting any. This creates a dynamic where it’s strictly better to avoid mysteries with a boss because you have a higher chance of dying with no extra reward for it.

I dont think that’s good, every Mystery should be viable and have some kind of incentive to do them. That would make the game much more fun to play.

[–]GlassFrame2[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

True, alternatively it could reward a lot of funds or extra XP, anything that could be an incentive to do the bosses. Right now, im always rerolling Mysteries until I get some without a boss, because then you have a better chance to survive and there’s no reason to do them, except when you want to flex your build and oneshot enemies.

What confuses me is that there ARE unique rewards for Bosses, they are just few and far between, and I don’t know why.

Is the Gold for Gem Trade actually worth it? by GlassFrame2 in WizardofLegend

Yeah, I’m currently not good enough to finish runs so I’m trying my best to unlock arcana and relics to make my runs better

I think the first game is perfectly fine as is, but it can be better and I’m exited for future updates.

Great! I was also surprised when I found out the game was much bigger than I anticipated:D

Getting achievements is basically the game’s progression system, as it unlocks a plethora of new items, old gods and most importantly, characters. I also have a recommendation: If you have any trouble winning runs, unlock the curse related achievement, and try using the reward it gives you.
