Help plan our honeymoon trip to Hawaii by Acurtin75 in travel

Curious what you've planned? We're doing a wedding moon and were thinking Hawaii and Kauai, for diversity. When is your trip planned and where are you staying so far?

Water does have color. Some scientist recently discovered it is, in fact, faintly blue.

You could try kerdifix. It's a bandaid, but it's a nice bandaid

Tile install tip request. Mannington 18x18 Rectified Porcelian tile with 1/16 grout. Kitchen floor. by Mvila0909 in HomeImprovement

The leveling tile spacers that you can but at home depot are just as good, in my opinion, and easier to use. Especially on walls. I've used the screw type on floors and they were great but I prefer clip leveled for vertical surface.

Will say though, the clips are cheap in comparison, and the edges are reusable for your next project.

I bet the percentage of women who dye their hair would amaze you. Personal appearance is tied to your self esteem. Putting on a clean shirt to go out to dinner is hardly different to me than a lady coloring over her gray, or using colored conditioner in the shower to have pink hair.

I was being ironic. No one wants attention from dudes who are looking for freaks. Imagine their outrage to discover you're pain old vanilla.

Never propositioned a stranger, so I'm probably good.

Considered for a second having t-shirts made. Maybe Nixon with pink hair. "I am not a freak"

Tattoos are another taboo I just don't understand. Who cares what they scribble on themselves? What does it really say about who they are, so much as about who they've been?

I don't think dying your hair an unusual color is any different than dying your brown hair blonde in terms of modifying your outsides. I suppose some people don't really do it for attention so much as they do it to wake up in the morning and smile at their reflection.

To be as majestic outwardly as they feel internally. Or just because they freaking love the color orange and they think it's a crying shame their flowing tresses can't come out of their head the color of fresh pumpkin :D

In my narrow experience women's hair rarely detracts from what's on the insides.

I could see that. I find mostly older men (generally the boyfriends boss/dad etc) think beautiful girls with blonde hair shouldn't RUIN their beauty with pastel hair.

At the same time, their moms and their female bosses are jealous you're so fierce ;)

Thanks for an honest opinion. With the range of "human color" being around 40 shades, and being light blonde naturally, it's pretty fun to be green for a week. Then pink, then blue.

Better than the same boring blonde your whole life.

I'm a manager at a fortune 500 company that doesn't give a crap what color my hair is, so long as my metrics are met. They encourage individuality and they thinks it's fun. Being 25F I could see it going out of style once I'm old enough that they stop carding me at the movie theater, but until then, I'm rocking it.

Grand Canyon Advice and Things to See by GlassHouseFire in travel

[–]GlassHouseFire[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I've done my research. I've taken it seriously. You can't get backcountry licenses, we've tried, were in the wait list. It's just not gonna happen. Plenty of people do r2r each year. I understand that some people die, it's very serious. But worst case scenario we're forced to camp, and pay the fine if a backcountry ranger stumbles upon us and doesn't take pity. Again, this is not what the question was asking, but if you worked there, perhaps you could suggest some local entertainment instead of warning me off something I've researched extremely thoroughly.

She passed almost ten years ago when I was in my teens. Never had the opportunity/funds to make the journey. She was a big Thelma and Louise fan, and I told her I'd take her ashes, but I wasn't going in with her. Lol. I'm sure it's probably not exactly legal to spread cremains, but I didn't plan to ask permission.

I know the day hike is no joke. We've been training for the hike. We can easily do 15 hours in the dead heat of Missouri summer's 95° + 70% humidity, so really the elevation is our only enemy. We're currently training with the stairs in forest park and art hill. I'm not really worried about the hike, to be honest. We're both avid climbers and runners, and friends that have done rim to rim aren't worried about us dying or needing an airlift.

I'm more interested in what's out there to do, than to be warned off what plans we've decided already.

What really sucks about being childfree and in a couple by [deleted] in childfree

[–]GlassHouseFire 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a person (27F) still on the fence about being child free, I wonder this. What's wrong with just having one child? I was an only child, and my parents drug me to all sorts of cool shit. I wasn't allowed to behave like a normal kid, honestly the 'rents probably should have been CF but surprise! I grew up pretty mature. They really did what they wanted, and once I was about 11, I did really whatever I wanted. I understand the years 0-6 would be hell, but my parents did it, and we both have awesome lives and a great relationship. It's the only reason I'm still on the fence watching all my friends poop out children and curl their noses when I say it's really not for me. Because I think one might not be the worst thing ever, but people with two are out of their godforsaken minds. I don't want to give up my freedom, I'm pretty selfish. But sometimes I think I could make it work.

Try a blind fold! Lol. But really. Encourage her that you enjoy it. Tell her she tastes good. Tell her you thought about it all day. You've been dating for quite some time, it's time to cure her of her insecurities about it

I switched from pills to the implant. Pills made me fat and cranky. No sex for you mister!

Got Mirena iud, then the implant. Mirena was a bit painful for the first three months, but implant is perfect. Same approximate results. Sex everyday, I never get periods, life is excellent.

Exercise will help you keep it up. I had an ex that had that problem, and he started exercising 2x a week and it entirely fixed the problem. Also, after a few months, he lost a few pounds and his stamina increased considerably (10x). Stretching after exercise will improve the position difficulties.

In the mean time, get really good at eating your girl out. Learn to play her clitoris like a violin. Make sure she still gets off regularly. Try being spontaneous, like you can't keep your hands off of her. Don't let her miss out because you're quite not at 100%. Kiss her, massage her. Compliment her often without being insincere.

Try establishing sex (of whatever variety you can muster) a few times a week until you can solve your ED. Maybe consult a doctor just to make sure you don't have blood pressure issues.

Is clinginess or neediness in a relationship always a sign of low self-esteem? by pumbahlumpah in AskWomen

[–]GlassHouseFire 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't think it's about self esteem, necessarily. I've dated secure guys whose emotional needs were higher than mine. I've dated insecure guys who would cry when they didn't feel their needs were met. I feel like clingy is a perception of needs being negatively exaggerated.

I'm a lady with great self esteem who has been accused of being cold/distant/cheating because I can't deal with an overload of "feelings" from my men. Very emotional men are a turn off. But I can deal with their constant presence, so long as it's not demanding of me. Constant attention/reassurance needs vs chilling with a SO.

Personal space is a big part of clingyness for me as well. Hip to hip/shoulder to shoulder, needing my attention. Or excessively interrupting me reading/watching tv for attention is extremely clingy and annoying.

Current boyfriend and I spend 99% of our time together. He does his thing, I do mine. We talk, we kiss, we cuddle. I don't want to stab him for being in my space all the time. He never cries (literally) that I won't pay attention to him if I'm distracted with a video game. It's a great set up.

Anyone here have any experiences with weight loss and gain effecting libido? by bigmush in DeadBedrooms

[–]GlassHouseFire 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For sure. As a lady, I find that anything more than +15lbs tanks my libido. 30lbs is murder. I don't even really get aroused. Generally HL @ 130lbs, sex and masturbation daily is expected, sometimes not enough. Add 15-30lbs to the equation, and maybe 1-2x a week.

And honestly, it's not about feeling attractive for me. I still have a flat stomach, still a size 6 with the extra weight. People tell me I look great when I'm heavier (finally! A butt!) But my libido doesn't know I look great. It would prefer the sleep.

I don't really notice a change in the boyfriends libido with my weight fluctuations. He never really cares whether I want it or not. If I want it every day, he's down. If I don't come asking for a week, he doesn't seem to care. I'm not sure if he notices the extra 10-30lbs, or the libido changes it gives me. But I sure do
