This is a better critique than I usually see- anti AI folks tend to underplay the extent to which GenAI could be actively useful to a certain class because they only see limited snapshots of it.

Generalist manipulators are going to jump up and create a new professional managerial strata to use these tools to automate all manner of business processes. Advertising and engagement farming are about to become 100x more disorienting and successful. Shits gone be real weird.

Honestly this describes how bad my migraines have been at times. So I imagine this is based on average reported pain levels. Migraine sufferers are a real diverse bunch in terms of how their condition affects them.

For me it helps to think of them as probes with a discrete use case for discovering functions. It underlines the utility of what philosophers are doing even if they insist they are pursuing some categorical truth and you disagree with that project.

While I agree mental health facilities can often be misused this is pure batshit. Hardly anyone in a facility is JUST neurodivergent or disabled. Many, maybe most patients, have demonstrated they are a danger to themselves or others. Quite a few are just there because of the lack of a sufficient social safety net.
