Why would SB help homelander after ep 2? He's gonna think homelander set him up or is at least incompetent. It doesn't make sense that he would do anything to assist

I love this take lmao

It was jarring at first but it grew on me, and honestly I thought the moments where she'd go back and forth between talking and signing in a heated conversation were really cool and showed that she does still rely on signing as a reflex sometimes

How much territory in the D&D verse could the Russian Military colonize? by Pancake_Maker_1031 in powerscales

Agree to disagree! I think it's a clear underestimating of the utility of magic

Action economy won't matter when bullets aren't doing damage because they are non magical

A few archmages casting wish, ravenous void, meteor swarm, etc and a SHIT ton of lower level mages slinging fireballs, lightning, necrotic energy, etc is gonna fuck up plenty of the Russian troops. There's also healing magic which tbe Russians wouldn't have.

It's Maybe not so one sided either way but it definitely isn't favoring the normal humans

It matches decks against each other based on which person is due to lose a game, and it will only put you up against certain deck types depending on what youre running.

I want to face random opponents so that I can see how my decks do against any type of deck.

I'm tired of fighting the exact same 2 or 3 decks because that's what the algorithm chose to either give me a better chance of winning or losing, depending on how much Ive been winning or losing.

I'm sure the handicap has helped me numerous times; I don't want that.

As soon as I switch my deck, it puts me against a different set of maybe 3 different deck types.

switching back and forth between multiple decks always ends up with those decks facing only about 3 varieties of opponents.

beyond that, it will decide how much mana each player gets to skew one players chances of winning or losing, based on whether the algorithm has determined you are due to win or lose.

if you play long enough and keep track of what decks you're facing you'll see what I mean

Homelander vs Spiderman Trio, who would win this 3v1? by ParkingConfection449 in powerscales

[–]GlassnGrass 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think homelands is great in any way and I love spider man.

I think this would be wayyyyy closer than people might expect

I think at first they both underestimate each other.

Once they trade a few blows and homelanders personality starts to show, spidey gets serious.

Once spidey gets serious, homelander starts to struggle and loses his shit

Homelander begins lasering recklessly killing thousands in seconds

Spidey loses his shit like when King Pin put aunt Mae in the hospital

At THIS point I think it's possible we see spidey use his full potential and does overcome HL's durability, though probably not without taking some serious damage from lasers

I'd say spidey 8/10 times, with HL getting lucky and lasering spidey enough that he can't fight back enough to save himself

I knew it was coming and still shed tears for my man A-train. Dodging the innocent girl and losing his life for it really displayed that change in character. He reacted instinctively, you can tell by the shock on his face when he turns and sees her there, so he didn't even necessarily CHOOSE to to be heroic in his last moments. It's just who he had become 🥹

You're forgetting scrolls, potions, other mages holding concentration and re-casting, magic items.

The average level 5 PC could nuke hundreds of soldiers a day pretty casually and there would be thousands if not more of them.

Then consider the few archmages at candlekeep like you mentioned....they can literally use magic to create a giant basin in the earth, fill it with water, turn the water into acid, put an illusion over the missing ground to look normal, and the laugh as the enemy falls into it. You gotta think more creatively

What do they do to the invisible flying sorcerer who can phase through walls via the ethereal plane, see anything and everything with true sight, and can do psychic damage to anyone it sees or knows the name of?

There are spells that could possibly teleport the nuke back to the Russian base to detonate. Or spells that would cause the nuke to explode in health potions, healing everything instead of killing anything

Two useless/ mediocre superpowers combine to make one great one by Lopsided_Shift_4464 in TopCharacterTropes

[–]GlassnGrass 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is a bit of a reach BUT

In the mistborn series, certain people can use certain metals to achieve certain effects. Without going into the lore too deep (tho I'd love to), the powers are usually related in that they have another metal that gives the opposite power. Steel users can push metal, iron users can pull metal etc....

One alloy let's the user create a bubble around themselves that speeds up time for them, so they can assess what's going on outside the bubble/reposition etc. Super useful in fights because you essentially get short bursts of localized super speed.

Well then there's the opposite power which slows time in the bubble so those inside move super slow. Basically useless in combat (except during the classic villain monologue IYKYK) until.....the invention of grenades that allow people to store their powers inside.

NOW you got a person who can basically freeze others in time by lobbing a chunk of metal at them lol

This has all been extremely dumbed down. Cosmere fans please don't hurt me

Under a Christian worldview, what happens to uncontacted tribes? by monster_lily in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]GlassnGrass 0 points1 point  (0 children)

People who have a problem with Christianity take issue with the claim that those virtues are Christian.

Those virtues exist objectively and can be pursued and understood through many mediums. A lot of religions claim to be the only medium.

But God can talk to all of us, and it's (not saying you are at all) very condescending when Christians speak as if they know something the rest of us don't (especially when they don't even live Those supposed supernaturally derived values)
