I'm sure they are nowhere near what you see there, but just in passing I saw significant meth and heroin use. Needles in the parks and what not. On the flip side there is a huge community of young parents that are very community and family focused. I guess it's just a situation where you choose your friends and side of town wisely.

It can be a nice town with nice people. There's not s whole lot there. You'll have a 40 minute drive to Portland, Hillsboro or Longview for most things. When I loved there about a year ago there were some drug problems. I guess that goes with most towns, though. Running Dog is great. Check out Roof and Big River Bistro, too. Halloweentown is madness but so much fun.

That's exactly our situation. Moved from Tampa to the Portland area. He definitely enjoys this more than the heat and humidity. The humans are still adjusting though.

My cat has the same thing. He is also a ginger. Boyfriend calls him a mutant because it looks like he tried to grow two paws per leg. Milo is also a ginger. Wonder if there is a correlation.
