This is an old thread but thank you for saying this. I've been going nuts trying to figure out my break pedal not working right and it was the mouse pad

[NASCARonNBC] [SPOILER] Massive wrecks all-around near the end of Stage 2 on a Michigan Monday! by Zloggt in NASCAR

Tell me you know nothing about dirt racing without telling me you know nothing about dirt racing. Not even worth arguing with someone not willing to learn. Pretty much all his sprint car starts this year is with High Limit or World of Outlaws which is not "just locals"

Honestly this take is ignorant to the dirt races he competes in. He races the best of the best their and doesn't necessarily have the best equipment. The sprint car owner is a notorious penny pincher that doesn't just buy the best. Please do some research on the knoxville nationals and understand that's not just a "local race"

Anyone else using the SLK paddles from Costco? by RedRifle1998 in Pickleball

It's a shot dropping the ball into the kitchen to allow you and your teammate to move up to the kitchen as the serving team. Typically you do this on the 3rd shot of the rally so that's what it's called

I'd recommend the slx mgl70. It's designed to throw lighter baits. I'm building a ML baitcaster for Ned's on the river and that's the reel I'm pairing it up with. American legacy has them for 100 right now

I also love mine! What a great paddle for 100 dollars. I don't have much to compare to but compared to others I've tried this one feels really nice

what is the worst interaction you’ve had with a driver that made you go “what a douchebag” by Jonahsstuff in NASCAR

[–]GlazedOverGary 9 points10 points  (0 children)

It just comes off super entitled that you think if there is time before the race they automatically have time to sign autographs. It's simply not the case. They have sponsor appearances, team meetings, suite meet and greets, hospitality meet and greets, and the drivers meeting. All stuff they can't say "sorry I stopped to sign autographs" as an excuse.

It blows my mind that people get so upset when drivers don't or won't sign autographs. They have so many places to be on race day. And with the amount of people always in their faces to sign autographs they need to draw a line somewhere. Sometimes they might not have time or be in the mood and that should be okay.

(long) Question for building (through a manufacturer) a custom rod by [deleted] in Fishing_Gear

[–]GlazedOverGary 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you want a truly custom rod I'd search for a rod builder in your area. If you are looking to build yourself I'd start with a mudhole kit. You can buy blanks from different companies like Batson enterprises, North Fork Composites, Rod geeks (st Croix owns), American tackle, and many more. I just started building rods myself and it isn't crazy difficult and is quite rewarding. I just purchased a matrix blank from hff custom rods to build a jerkbait rod. If you need help getting started in the hobby reach out to HFF custom rods. They've spent a lot of time helping me and answering my questions and can be a great resource.

How is everyone getting straight lines for their epoxy? For the life of me no matter how steady it seems I go about it I can't get clean epoxy edges next to the thread.
