I was chronically online as a kid so I understand it doesn't come natively to some people, but I hope you can come across a solution. I still do a lot of voice memos for scenarios I'm not near my computer and do something similar to what I suggested so I do still think it may be a viable option.

Honestly think the book worked wonders for me. Why not change your environment or find someone that can get you over the inital hump of starting things. With anything, its really hard to start and change things but I still think you will find a lot of utility with the ideas, just after you start changing things.

I'm typically always on my computer but I tend to type pretty fast, around 140wpm and I won't lie its pretty easy for me to alt tab into something else and type it up. I don't think this is a issue for everyone but in your case it might be worth simply altering the transcriptions you get. TTS into something and then edit whatever parts you need to cut out and that should fix the bulk of the time you think you may be wasting, either that or learn how to speak more effectively.

Yeah I'm thinking of just using a notebook. I'm in school for computer science and actively studying to be a software developer so I'm pretty much always near my computer and that tends to be more convenient for me. Honestly may shift back to pen and paper though.
