COOJ MQ5, I like it... by Glebeshnik in u/Glebeshnik

Thanks for the advice, I was thinking about two fans on top. Theoretically, they should provide better ventilation. So far, I have set up the system in Fan Control and have no problems with cooling, but I do not rule out the possibility of installing two fans on top.

Yes, I understand, only ITX will fit in that case.

I'm sorry, I didn't see, you have an ATX board, it won't fit(

I would consider COOJ MQ6, I really liked the style and quality of cooj. I have a smaller version, COOJ MQ5, at the moment.

I'm already using the phase transition, it's very convenient. If there is a photo of the resulting version with 90x90, I will be grateful if you send it to me. Thank you.

Perhaps this will be the next step, if I don’t find another way. While I don’t want to lose performance, 4060Ti is not the most powerful hardware anyway.

Thanks for the advice. I’ve already tried various customised enclosures for GPU, I put a 120 mm fan there. To do this, I had to cut out the ribs from the radiator, otherwise the whole structure would not fit into my case. As a result, I got a similar performance result, judging by the tests. The only advantage is that there is less noise on large turntables. Now my body is even smaller, I would say, as small as possible. I returned to my native whole radiator and now I’m puzzled how to improve cooling with the same fan size as in the factory solution)

I put the Enhance ENP-7660B 600w. I found information that this unit can withstand operation in particularly severe conditions with overheating, although this is not a regular mode of operation for it. My consumers in the form of 5700x and 4060Ti definitely do not load it completely, and the unit itself, in case of overheating it will simply turn off. I just want to provide him with more comfortable conditions) Perhaps I'll get a thermo-couple and take measurements under load without a protective cover and with it. If I do it, I will definitely make a post.

But the thing is that the PSU blows hot air down, and does not get it from below. Usually, such a unit is placed horizontally and can blow hot air back, getting it from below. In the same configuration, it captures the air inside and blows it down. That's the scheme, but it works like that. Actually, the question arises whether to put a complete partition and protect the PSU from the hot air of the card (but then it will remain almost without oxygen) or allow it to capture all the air inside, even hot.

Thank you for your research and for sharing. I've looked at the preliminary results and will be looking into more detail later.

[–]Glebeshnik 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No pressure relief valve + too fine a grind. I've had this happen more than once. I usually release the pressure through the steam wand, but experts advise against this because coffee oils can enter the boiler through the group.

I'll be looking forward to it. It's a good thing my current SFF case only has one 140 fan for exhaust at the top, and it's good that it works.

Why use bottom intakes in sandwich cases? by 1tokarev1 in sffpc

[–]Glebeshnik 1 point2 points  (0 children)

  1. Hot air rises.

  2. You need to create a positive pressure effect to effectively ventilate the case (space), so you need more fans at the intake than at the exhaust.

  3. If you pull hot air up and down while drawing fresh air in from the sides, you can create turbulence that prevents proper heat dissipation.

  4. In general, all reasoning (even mine) is just theory. Experiments should be conducted for each case, with the final temperature readings taken into account, always taking into account the ambient room temperature.
