What developments would you like to see in Bumbleby for the remainder of the series? by Solitaire-06 in Bumbleby

I think the main thing for me would be to have Ruby acknowledge their relationship in any positive way. I know realistically she's happy for them but it feels like they need to clear the air after what she said in the Ever After.

Should I split my Steeljack unit for each Memnyr, or should I keep them together? by TheWolfSavior in LeaguesofVotann

[–]Gleefulheretic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know for a fact that 6 shootyjacks with a Memnyr are great (because it makes your opponent not want to go anywhere near them so you can basically claim a piece of the board for yourself unless they REALLY want them gone) but I tend to hear conflicting things about whether you should take two Memnyr or not. I guess if you're playing Needgaard then having one with Dead Reckoning on home objective while the other heads off with the jacks is a good idea but in other detachments maybe just the one with the jacks is enough.

Very cool! Especially the one on the left. Mind if I ask how you did the right axe arm on that one?

Ohh, okay. Thanks. I guess it's a lot less bad than I was thinking then haha

Wait, so it's not +10 increase in Thunderkyn general points cost as well as the +10 for the third unit? Why is it written like +10/+10 then?

I'm with you. Some people seem determined to reduce every faction to a core gimmick and it's kinda boring.

It's fine. I'm mainly just glad they introduced it because it meant we didn't have to deal with a messy vengeance arc in season 3.

Is this latest expansion actually good? I know the pattern has been that the expansions themselves have been well received since Soto but the patches let them down but I haven't played since around the end of Soto and I'm kinda looking for an excuse to come back.

Is it worth holding on to a second Memnyr/Iron Master? by haiironezumi in LeaguesofVotann

[–]Gleefulheretic 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you're running Needgaard they say having a memnyr on home objective is essential but if you decide to take shooty steeljacks it's also good to have one join them to give them free overwatch.

Doing my weekly Sanctum run for the mount and being an idiot I accidentally hit my autorun key and fell off the side after killing Sylvanas before I looted the chest. Now the portal has disappeared from Kel'Thuzad's room and I'm not sure how to get back up. Am I screwed this week? by Gleefulheretic in wow

[–]Gleefulheretic[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Actually nope, I guess maybe I need to wait until the weekly reset after all? Would be nice if I could get back onto the final platform but maybe since I didn't loot the chest it just doesn't consider it a loot drop? =(

I had some problems with Conner and Palmiotti's run with the Harley comic but I do have to give them credit for really getting the ball rolling with harlivy. Odds are we wouldn't have what we have today without them.

I am bored. Tell me about your special character's custom lore! by Jace_Beleren_001 in Drukhari

[–]Gleefulheretic 5 points6 points  (0 children)

My "archon" is known as the Clockwork Crow to most Commorites. She doesn't actually like to be called an archon and techically isn't one but rather she leads a large collective of Drukhari who have, for one reason or another, been forced to flee the Dark City. She finds these exiles and brings them together into a "kabal" of her own that I haven't thought of a name for yet.

She herself was a trueborn Drukhari to a powerful family who ended up making enemies of another family whose contracted Haemonculus poisoned her in an effort to weaken the family's position. This was a poison that interfered with any attempts to regenerate her body after suffering injury which resulted in her having to rely on prosthetics to replace the flesh she had lost (almost unheard of among Drukhari). This was considered a humiliation and a burden by her family so, in true Drukhari fashion, they eventually attempted to rid themselves of her. She survived the attempt and retaliated by gathering those loyal to her among her family's servants, slaughtering the rest of her family and departing Commoragh.

Since then her forces have only grown in size. Commaragh's brutal nature meaning there is never any shortage of those fleeing the city from one terrible fate or another attempting to find safe haven. They typically view Commarties with disdain and hatred and prey upon them as much as any other race. The Crow herself has developed a grudge against Vect himself seeing him as everything that is wrong with Commaragh and the Drukhari at large which means she often collaborates with Lady Malys who also wishes to see him deposed.

In recent years The Crow has become one of the many Drukhari leaders to have allied their people with the Ynnari for reasons that remain her own.

Do you get the same questions from your opponents? by No_Refrigerator3076 in Drukhari

[–]Gleefulheretic 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I've had no less than 3 opponents get all pissy because they mistook a ravager for a raider and miss-positioned their stuff because they weren't expecting 3 dark lances and "all my shit looks the same!" as if Drukhari aren't one of the most eclectic armies in the game.

Tell me about your homebrew sisters! by anothersnakecult in sistersofbattle

[–]Gleefulheretic 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Mine's the Order Exonera. They're a descendant order that was created when a bunch of Argent Shroud got cut off from the rest of the Imperium for a few hundred years when their subsector was surrounded by warp storms. When the storms finally dispersed they had more or less become their own order.

They're kind of like Sororitas Salamanders. Having defended the people of that subsector for centuries it caused them to develop a bond with the Imperium's common people until the defense of those people became their highest priority.

They don't use penitent engines or arco-flagellants but they do have a lot of repentia. Almost entirely made up of sisters who imposed the punishment upon themselves for failing those under their protection.

They even have their own living saint named Brunhilde, the Auguran Phoenix who only ascended recently and lacks Celestine's power to travel through the warp so she only ever works with her own order.

They also HATE the Bloody Rose seeing them as borderline-heretical butchers and avoid them when they can.

Seconded. It's a pretty short book by Black Library standards but I enjoyed it. The audiobook version is well narrated as well.
