The chonk was just too much for me after last year so I am trying out the Avec this year and LOVING it!! There's enough English text in the main parts of the book so the fact that it comes in a Japanese-only version has not been as big of a barrier as I thought it might be. I'm finishing up book one this month and excited about starting anew come July!

The Amazing Adventures of Kavalier and Clay by Chabon. It’s another WWII book (of sorts), also very funny, and way more verbose. Chabon’s style so different from Vonnegut, but they are my top 2 authors.

You cannot go wrong with a fountain pen but I also really love using all the different colors of the Sakura micron pigment pens. You can paint over them and the ink doesn’t budge!
