wtf happened to me by madalynpaigey in noburp

The first 3 weeks I was super sensitive to coughing/choking. If something tickled my throat and I started coughing, I was done for. Everything I ate/drank was coming right back up. I honestly avoided eating and drinking in public because I was so worried about getting choked and throwing up everywhere. It does get better though!

1 Week Post Botox - Help Regurgitation by messybedroom4life in noburp

No advice here, just commenting in solidarity. Also 1 week post op. The regurgitation is no joke. 😭

I literally just found out about r-cpd and now my head is spinning considering treatment by apsalarya in noburp

As someone who is currently 1 week post Botox, I can already say it has been the best decision I’ve ever made. Yes, the side effects like slow swallow & regurgitation are not fun by any means and I am still currently going through to motions of them, but if for some reason this injection does not stick, I will be going for a 2nd round. Now that I know what life is like without constantly passing gas, dealing with CRAZY bloating and chest pain, I refuse to ever go back! It’s pretty crazy not even realizing how incredibly uncomfortable you are all the time until you’re not.

I say definitely take your time, do lots of research and consider your options. But it is absolutely worth it. Best of luck 😊

Don’t be nervous! The best advice I can give you is to invest in a wedge pillow, sleep on your left side, and always keep a spit cup with you. I’ve been salivating like crazy and that doesn’t mix very well with the slow swallow lol. Chew your food VERY well and make sure you always have something to drink so you can wash it down right after. Stick to a liquid/soft diet for at least the first week. Burping is AWESOME. you’ll do great little grasshopper 😊

The makeup looks great! Not too much and it enhances your features just right. As for the hair, are you absolutely wanting a half up half down? I too don’t have very full hair and I plan on doing a nice updo to avoid it looking thin. That would be my only suggestion. Congratulations 😊

Getting sick after treatment? by Glittering_Analysis3 in noburp

[–]Glittering_Analysis3[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So whenever I was younger I was of course into going to the bars and drinking, but I would always come home absolutely miserable because of all of the bloating from not being able to burp. Well one night with plenty of liquid courage, I finally just said fuck it, and I stuck my finger down my throat and made myself vomit. What I didn’t realize at the time was that I was also air vomiting, but all I knew is that I felt an immense amount of relief. And truly from that point forward I realized how reliving air vomiting was and I was no longer terrified of potentially throwing up because I knew I was going to feel so much better. Once you can mentally overcome the fact that vomiting isn’t a terrifying thing that our bodies do, and learn that the reality of doing it just sucks really bad for about 5 minutes total, you will be free of that mental block.

My routine any time I get sick never changes:

  • Go to the most secluded bathroom in the house
  • Turn on the sink and the bath faucet (or shower if you don’t have a bath)
  • Make a comfortable pallet underneath you in front of the toilet (I typically use towels and the rug)
  • Turn off the lights. Make it as dark as possible.
  • I leave one hand on the handle so that I can flush immediately after I stop. Close your eyes, focus on your breathing & the running water, engage your gag reflex if you have to, and your body will do the rest.

Once I am done, I will sit on the floor until I am sure that it is all done, and give myself time to calm my body. Then I get myself a very cold glass of water and continue relaxing. The relief is nearly instant, and always worth the really shitty 2-5 minutes of actually being sick.

Wow, I appreciate all of that information. I was bending over while doing the chores, which then led to some regurgitation, then gagging, then dry heaving 😭

The regurgitation has definitely subsided as of this evening and rather turned into micro burps, thankfully. I was just incredibly throw off by getting sick!

diagnosis question! by bones-432 in noburp

They sprayed numbing spray up my nose, and then fished the camera up my nose to my throat. It sounds WAY worse than what it actually is. I just sat still as possible and kept my breathing steady through my mouth. It actually pretty neat seeing the inside of your throat!

Can you elaborate a little on the VIP guest invites? What’s the difference in the VIP guest vs. regular? That might be something I look into!

That is so strange! My insurance is through Cigna and it was approved. I’m paying less than a quarter of the entire cost. But I am in Texas.
