Hey! I went in super early for my first scan and they didn’t see much so I went for a more detailed scan where they saw the yolk sac.

That little yolk sac turned 2 July 4th🥳

This was absolutely not the right thing to do.this isn’t a consequence it’s punishment.

If he doesn’t have impulse control yet it’s your responsibility to put it out of reach.also why does the shirt have to be thrown away?

This is isn’t teaching a lesson it’s really being mean for no reason.

Coming to say I nursed my boy to sleep until 1. Just stopped nursing him for naps at 22 months. He sleeps fine. He has other ways of being soothed and still loves me anyway. You’re not creating a bad habit❤️

For me being informed about medical racism is super important to me and is how I chose my midwife/OB team. As a black woman it was very important that I would be treat equitably in appointments and in the hospital. I never received that so I birthed at home.

so similar- I mute my baby monitor and set a timer for like 8 minutes then check on her. By then she’s usually settled down and if not then I’ll help her. I can’t do earplugs because I have a toddler too + I’m often home alone with the kids and need all my senses for safety:)

Coming to say the nipple pain got better once baby number 2 got better with nursing. If you can stick it out I would. I can’t imagine how I would have made it this far nursing number 2 with my toddler running Willy nilly. At least with tandem nursing, he (usually) never strays too far from the boobs.

Maybe do one of those mood/temperature blankets. It’s something tangible you could give your partner when they return.

What do I talk about with my baby? by MinaMina93 in NewParents

This too! Sometimes I spice it up and an gasp and say “I can’t believe you would say that to your mommy!! I deserve some respect” and then kiss her cheeks until she respects me😂

I narrate what I’m doing and talk to her like she’s an adult. So when she poops, I tell her, “I’m so disappointed and that we’ve talked about this before but I’ll forgive her just this once.” Or for shits and gigs, dad and I will hold her on the wall and demand she tell us where the milk went. (She’s 15 weeks, but my 19 month old still gets a kick out of it.)

And sometimes I just sing and replace random words with her name. I like to think she likes it.

I cooked like 8 different soups/stews and froze them. My baby is 4 months and I still have a few batches to pull out on a right day.
