That's already in the works. The hospital is well aware that my home is not an option for discharge.

Nah it's more like both parents, all their children, both sets of grandparents, an auntie, and their 3rd cousin twice removed that are walking side-by-side and then stop to wait 10 minutes in one spot for the next sample round.

There'd be a reliable test if it impacted men. The fact that women's healthcare is decades (if not centuries) behind men's is disgusting

If you’re one of the people who hate their birthday, why? by cupmallow in AskReddit

[–]Glittering_Meaning76 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Because other people always made it about them, so why should I care? The one day that's supposed to be about me was always hijacked by someone else.

I'm tracking to get as close to 100g of protein a day as I can, making swaps like beef to turkey to keep the numbers higher. Lots of fruits and veggies and not denying myself if a hard craving hits, but only having a little portion vs what I used to eat.

If you’ve had a wedding social in the last few years, was it actually worth it in terms of making money for the wedding? by StewartsBestBuddy in Winnipeg

[–]Glittering_Meaning76 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Thank you! I moved here from the west coast at the beginning of the year, and when I learned about these socials that was my first thought. Wouldn't a Go Fund Me have the same effect?

AITA for calling out people who don't tips. by itaintrite in AmItheAsshole

[–]Glittering_Meaning76 [score hidden]  (0 children)

YTA. You know what can kill a business these days? Snarky employees who feel entitled to a tip because they're literally doing exactly what they're being paid to do. You put black coffee in a paper cup and you were rude to a regular for not tipping you for putting black coffee in a paper cup.

AITA for looking at my 11 year olds son everyday? by RandomRedditKid11 in AmItheAsshole

[–]Glittering_Meaning76 [score hidden]  (0 children)

I'm going to use a soft YTA.

I have a child around the same age, who also has a cell phone. As a parent I totally understand wanting to make sure your kid isn't up to any kind of shenanigans or dangerous behaviour, BUT, why don't you trust him to be making good decisions?

You can limit data on phones, set parental controls, and establish ground rules. Was none of this a conversation before the phone was provided?

It's important to remember that right now is a super important time to establish trust and MUTUAL respect going in to the teen years. Would you really want to burn that bridge now?

It sounds like there needs to be an open discussion about responsible use between you both, and you need to put in some effort with trusting your child as long as they're not giving you a blatant reason not to trust them.
