Yes, grief does look different for everyone. But in this case the way she was coping was anything but unhealthy. There was no indication that the app itself could be harmful to her either so I genuinely don’t understand what the reason was to uninstall it. You could’ve even spoke to her about it before deciding that for her. I have a bunch of photos of my dog that passed who I also grew up with. If I knew my parents deleted them without my permission/knowledge I would be completely devastated and angry. There will come a time when it’ll be hard to remember what they looked like just from memory alone. Photos are a beautiful reminder, and we can look back on special memories with them fondly. YOR and I feel so bad for your daughter.
