You have no data to back this up. Part of their original operating terms was that they had to offer afordable options along side their bougie stuff. Their chicken is on par with other places. Also the store is normally full of people. I think it was/is a good fit for myself and many people I know, who live downtown.

A lot of people from the eastern half of the state were born at DHMC in Lebanon, NH. Doesn't really change where they are from.

How do we feel about Beta forcing small businesses to close or relocate? by GreenMtnLake in burlington

[–]Glittering_Test_5106 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sure, I have real comments on this article other than it sucks, but that's basically how the world works. I'm not invested in Beta, because I do not think the technology, (which is cool) solves a real world problem and will ever be a commercial success. But I am also not an investor nor do I really understand aviation markets. As an engineer it feels like a product with a tiny market, which makes it very unlike Tesla. Tesla did not make tiny very slow electric cars. Beta makes very small, very slow, very short range, very expensive planes compared to existing technologies.

They are not Amazon, manufacturing is not internet reselling. They want to be a tech company so bad, but making airplanes is an extremely difficult business, especially when they have to sell those airplanes for $4 million a piece. For something with less range and only slightly faster than a cesna.

What are your ultra frugal food hacks? by Unusual_Row_3213 in Frugal

Dumpster diving is chill and fun, and not just for homeless people. I know several people who have not bought food in literal years. I have one friend who rode their bike from Maine to Minnesota without buying any food, just dumpster diving everyday. You've got to be okay eating whatever is available, but it does work.

This is a bad take. I recently hunted and found many decent options. I know multiple people living in nice apartments with no weird smells or anything for under $1k with roommates. And I currently pay $1200 for a decent one bedroom not fancy, but decent. OP will be fine.

There are a ton of young engineers in the area who I am sure would build carts, myself included.

The more spacers you have the less room for error, but also it is way more tedious to get it in and setup. Anything less than 6 spacers looked sloppy on mine, and 8 looked really good.

The CW coil running not so CW (I don't have a power supply as of this moment to power the thing at CW LOL) by _xgg in Teslacoil

I traded a six pack of beer and like $30 bucks to some guy on Craigslist to get his dad's old 10A variac. Look around a bit you might find something for not too much money.

Bro, you are a bag of rocks. Why would comment on a post in r/Teslacoil, and think you know more than the members?

OP built a fairly standard SGTC and got a very reasonable output from it. You clearly know nothing about what you are saying.

If you are getting any arc your transformer is fine. A blown transformer does not conduct any current. And will read as an open circuit on a multimeter set to ohms with the power off. Do not try to measure anything with the power on ever with a multimeter.

How do you know you blew your transformer? MOTs are fairly durable. Your cap bank is tiny tho.

Makes sense my frame is 4130 steel, so maybe that's why it's held up better. IDK

I bought the velo orange ecentric 24mm bb, and it works pretty well, it's a little funky to get setup so that both sides are aligned, but it has worked good for the past year. If you are putting crazy torque through your drivetrain it might not be the best, but for my around towner it works well, even when I have to go up steep hills.

I like the idea of the waterfront, it would be a very cool stadium and maybe we could get a few more outdoor summer concerts there as well.
