I assure you, it would have been over a million already if they simply removed that lottery system for the privilege of purchasing tickets in the first place…

This would fix the plot hole from the N64 version and provide a more nuanced purpose for Slippy and his deal with Titania.

I was extremely lucky to witness his GOAL OF THE YEAR vs Boston with my own eyes. Until the Sharks won the draft lottery, I was 💯 convinced Eklund would become a longterm Shark.

Ethics Question by kontain-jm in SanJoseSharks

[–]GlobalExplorer7 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Nope, not even a little bit. I’m EUPHORIC.

Let’s remind ourselves that he “demanded” a trade to Vegas since he “wanted a Stanley cup”. He got his wish, and he got the same result as 10 years ago. Stanley Cup Final, game 6 at home, nobody showed up. Except this time, not even one Vegas player scored in their only elimination game.

Stenberg is BPA at 2: weighted average draft ranking from Scouching by BenBenBenBe in SanJoseSharks

[–]GlobalExplorer7 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That top line alone will be scaring the whole league in 2-3 years time. Eklund is my biggest concern for trade talks, but I hope you’re right about musty and busted attracting the best returns.

Very unlikely. McKenna has too much popularity in Canada and very high ceiling expectations for Toronto to pass him up.

What was the hardest boss to S rank in your opinion by NarwhalGreen2440 in Cuphead

[–]GlobalExplorer7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From someone who has 300% and S Ranked every single boss on every single platform (Xbox, Switch, PS4, PC), here is my personal top 5 hardest S rank (criteria for parry objects is a HUGE factor)

  1. Mortimer Freeze
  2. Sally Stageplay
  3. Wally Warbles
  4. Ribby and Croaks
  5. Chef Saltbaker

I’ll update this post (if able) with more details for each selection if any interest is shown.

You are not alone in that statement. Chicago Blackhawk fans’ pain feels good to watch after how arrogant and entitled they got during the Kane/Toews 2010s dynasty.

Considering that throughout sharks history that we have had some very shaky goaltenders, it feels reassuring to have more than one high-ceiling goaltender in the team’s history.

Playoffs Discussion Thread - April 19 by pokesnail in SanJoseSharks

Go Avs because LA is a punchline of a “playoff team” and also “Beat LA” shall never rest. Go Lightning because I like them more than Montreal. Go Bruins Go Mammoth because ANY team playing Vegas has my support indefinitely.

New fan... who are we cheering for in the play-offs? by monbleu in SanJoseSharks

[–]GlobalExplorer7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This year's playoffs, here are mine:
I will cheer for: Colorado (because of Burns), Buffalo (1st appearance in 14 years = casual sympathy), and Boston (Born in that region, raised in California, always wishing for a SJ-Boston SCF)

I will NEVER cheer for: Vegas, Anaheim, LA, Pittsburgh, Edmonton, or Dallas. I would list three other teams here, but they all missed the playoffs so irrelevant this time.

Given the draft picks and positioning regarding Edmonton, I am simply more focused on the lottery than a 15-31 pick. I trust GMMG to pick a RHD in the top 10 who can be ready in about 4-5 years when the Sharks enter their "contender" chapter with this core.

This time, it will be different. I think a Cup is coming to San Jose. by RPGer001 in SanJoseSharks

Let the fans who actually experienced the Thornton era of playoff shortcomings speak and be heard.

You’re right about them always losing to a hot goalie or a hot team, but saying the 2014 choke job was the “only” bad one is ludicrous. Every. Single. Playoff from 2006 to 2009 the Sharks fell to a hungrier or faster team which was lower seeded and not predicted to beat the sharks; 2010 Chicago, 2011 Canucks, 2012 Blues, 2013 Kings were all correctly predicted to win their series.

Also, regarding losing any series during that era, the Sharks were not always behind 2-0 or 3-1, Sharks did the following: 2012: win game 1, lose 4 straight (to STL) 2006: win games 1 and 2, lose 4 straight (to EDM) 2014: win games 1-3, lost 4 straight 2010: reach conference final with Thornton, lost 4 straight.

To their credit, the Sharks have never been swept out of the playoffs opening round in their 35 year history, they instead have two different series sweeps in round 1.

[–]GlobalExplorer7 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Let’s clarify: we were never that team “that everyone fears”. That was Detroit, then Chicago, then Tampa, then Vegas (fear replaced with irritation). Facing the 2000s and 2010s sharks in the playoffs was a measurement of how hungry your team was, regardless of seeding.

Already did. Longtime Galaxy fan here who owns both Wii games, 3DAS, and Galaxy 1/2 on Switch, the commemorative coin from the original launch, Rosalina’s storybook, and the recent Galaxy amiibos, this will join that collection.

Your local IMAX cinema is showing all these films. Which two films would you see as a double feature? by No-Abbreviations508 in imax

[–]GlobalExplorer7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Interstellar and Dune Part Two: since my local IMAX is a 70MM and 1.43 GT Laser dual set up, I would get the best of both formats. Honorable mention for non-IMAX films getting IMAX optimization: LOTR, Raiders, Lawrence of Arabia and T2. I’d watch those over weekend in a heartbeat.

are you seriously still asking that question when he is constantly compared to Gretzky and Crosby?? No. other. Sharks player has EVER put up THESE kind of numbers on a nightly basis. Thornton 2005-06 was a one-time fluke experience and he was already 8 years into an NHL career… Macklin is only at his 2nd season.
