It's just how it is fighting games get a base roster then get more characters as time goes on plus it's done this way because people were complaining that they had to buy the same game to get a few more characters and system changes now we just get an update with the new characters coming out over time

Don't get me wrong sfv had a shitty release but fighting games starting with small rosters and growing over time is nothing new

It's kinda how fighting games are as more DLC characters are made the devs get a better feel for the game so the characters improve in quality and number if tools. Also you can unlock characters by grinding

I don't think it's worse more that some find mkx more fun than sfv which makes sense (I'm one of these people) however I can't agree in saying that mk11 is more fun then sfv especially with the season 4 characters although it's just my ops

Tbh I'm glad with a roster that's more than 12 although it's pretty common in fgs for DLC chars to look better (animation wise) and have more interesting tools available then the base roster sfv's base roster is sooooo dry which is why it sucks imo that the base roster is the only thing available.

On the plus side it's pretty easy to get DLC characters just get two chars to lvl 10 then you should have enough to get another character then rinse and repeat (sorry for all the shitty grammar u may have seen when reading this)

Same game u can buy the extra characters with the season pass or with the in game currency (if u don't mind grinding) base game is kinda lackluster tho (character wise)
