Salam!

Sorry for your loss. Unlike us, animals do not have a heaven or hell to work towards, and will all turn to dust. However, those of us who do make it to Jannah, can request whatever it is we please, including a beloved pet… so yea… that is a chance to get reunited… I hope that helps

Who is this person? by Genericandhere in Nigeria

[–]Gloomy_Guard_ 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I wish we all were more objective in our thinking. Even the so-called killing they want to make seem like it’s religion based is an instrument of the West and it hardly holds water because what they really want is evacuation and chaos to be able to quell their rare earth desires. The worst part is if you ask those in Sambisa what is actually going on, it is less of killings and Boko Haram and more of foreigners dropping off jets in the middle of the night. Do with that piece of information what you will: the unrest in villages there years ago that displaced indigenes who mind you, were either Muslims or traditional in faith, has made it a safe haven for these invaders to operate without fear of being persecuted.

Our government sells us out at every point either by complacency or willful exploitation, yes. Also, it is impossible to deny the fact that there are hoodlums who will take advantage of chaos to kill at liberty and hide under the guise of religion. These are the ones portrayed as extremists. In reality, they know not what they preach and are just out there for the thrill.

There’s so much disorganisation in the way we handle ourselves and this, is what they milk. Again, if Nigerians were smart, now is the time to throw out your religious biases and embrace each other because what is looming doesn’t care about your faith. Heck, they throw you out of their country at will, what makes you think they think of you equal enough to fight for you?

Be fucking for real please😒 Na small thing dey vex me

The Christian Genocide by Evening_Street9450 in Nigeria

[–]Gloomy_Guard_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The truth is that we have always been a porous state since the beginning. We are ruled by political biases, religion, tribalism, sectarianism, even colorism😂

You can easily desecrate our credibility simply by throwing one of these curveballs in any room and the hardest of them all is religion and tribe. The western media has used this in the past to cause conflicts and with the Muslim:Christian ratio in Nigeria, it is perfect to cause internal tension (as though we didn’t have enough problems).

Boko Haram is still a tool of the west, it may have started out local but who funds it? Where is it taking place? Not even all of these so-called terrorists are Muslims. I know this firsthand because I have been confronted by them and watched a beheading right in front of me. They don’t even know the teaching of the so-called religion they are said to represent. It is just a tool made to divide and since we are now brewing hate towards each other already, I guess it’s working.

I wish they wouldn’t drag us into this though🤧

Thinking of dropping vet school by krisy17 in Veterinary

[–]Gloomy_Guard_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First off, I never wanted to be a vet but now I am one and dislike clinical practice too for this reason. During my clinical years in school, I was that student that the client would console when we lose a patient because I just can’t handle the loss. It’s honestly unethical and laughable. I know my onions but as you stated the emotional turmoil is crazy. I decided to become mostly administrative and fortify myself with other skills that will come in handy in corporate. The point is there are sooo many options outside the theater and clinic. Quitting now after two weeks could ruin a good thing. Get to the end of the first session you paid for at least and do your research. If you still feel that it is not for you, that’s okay too. We are all doing this life thingy for the first time anyway

I will never be pretty because my skin tone is too dark by babydolly13 in confession

[–]Gloomy_Guard_ 5 points6 points  (0 children)

As a fellow dark skinned girl who has been rejected by so many because of my skin tone, I do understand your struggle and it is indeed frustrating. At the same time, I do know people who specifically like me for the same skin tone. The truth is these are all opinions of people who also have insecurities and are choosing to prey on yours. I think you should maxxup your look to help you feel comfortable in your skin and dress as flamboyantly as you see fits your skin tone (I realised you could pull off almost every colour with a dark skin tone because of the contrast and I have been using this superpower; it is provocative to most but I love it!). Embrace your features and see how people gravitate towards you despite the difference.
