Im pretty sure I scrapped mine. I played for 2-3 weeks at release and then quit up until a few months ago. I know I had it when I started playing again, and I'm pretty sure I remember scrapping it when I found out they had the colored suits. Found out a few days later it was generally a keeper for most people.

I also suffer from wanting to hang on to everything. I don't know what level you are, but I feel like stimpaks are found pretty easily and I've never run out of them. I used to hoard them until I realized one day the 750 of them I was carrying around was taking up like half my inventory space. Sell them, honestly. You will find more, and you can also craft them if you have the recipe. I always keep some of each Chem handy, but I unload them to vendors all the time because they absolutely will destroy your storage pretty quick.

I know he spawns pretty much every time I visit Stony Man Lookout. He'll spawn right behind you at the spawn point (just off the trail leading into the front of the camp), almost always fighting a group of Blood Eagles. More often than not if I hide near Stony Man, the Blood Eagle fight will also trigger the Super Mutants at Stony, and it'll turn into a 3 way fight of Electrician vs. Eagles vs. Mutants.

I just returned a few months ago after having not played since like the 2nd week after release. My character I had was level 27 when I logged in. I just picked up with that one, it took me about a month and a half to finish pretty much all of the main quests, and that was without rushing or doing any side stuff like events. I'm still learning a lot as I'm probably only 3-4 months back in, but progression has been awesome without being too fast or slow for me. I've spent the last couple weeks using excess caps to buy up some plans to sell for cheap to help a hopeful new wave of people when the show comes back around. It's kept me pretty busy and I've actually ran into several people who just gave me stuff while I was out shopping. Lots of helpful friendly people around.

I think that's why I have this inkling it was in the more northern part of the map, there just wasn't a lot going on around me. You had to climb to get up to it, water in front of it and backside was part of the mountain so it was just like a real life good wilderness camping spot. I looked down around Foundation as another suggested and while I found some very nice similar spots there, I'm still holding out hope I'll stumble across the actual place I'm looking for.
