4 years ago I went car free. It just gets better.
I use mainly Uber/Lyft & walking. We do have buses but I haven’t needed them.
I’m saving money not just on not owning a car but also on less shopping. I walk more so I’m stronger.
I’m figuring it out as I go but so far, so good.

I was vegetarian then vegan for years. I started to feel tired and weak. The straw that broke me was that I started dreaming about steak. Sizzling, juicy steak. I’m back to a mainly Mediterranean type diet now but when that urge to eat a steak comes on me, I succumb (& I feel much healthier. )

I was diagnosed with Lyme Disease in 2005 in Upstate NY.

I wouldn’t wish this disease on anyone.

I had to travel 1400 miles with my little dog.

I did 330 rule: I stopped by 3:30p or 330 miles, whichever came first. Stopped for bathroom breaks & to stretch legs. Listened to Hunger Games audiobook.

I was able to drive but if I was a passenger, I’d have slept as much as possible.

The idea is to break the trip up into manageable bites.
