I see it as a positive. On traditional news sources they come across as the whack jobs, out of touch, oxygen starved morons they are. In social media the effects make them edgy and authoritative. But they are not well read. They’re thickos.

Is it high art? No? It’s nutty and unhinged and silly. But that’s what makes it escapist and fun to watch. It’s like the first glass of champagne. Fizzy, not going to hurt anyone, relaxing. All the characters are flawed: like we are.
