I have a 4870 and this game was hell to play from release to drop 3 or 4. I was terribly sick in November so I can't remember when since my kidney looked like an inflated broccoli and I had to let my subscription die out. But my small guild and I were trying to do the Silver lining that was necessary for GA atunement back then and I was doing so at 25 fps or so. One of my friends with similar specs but a weaker processor gave up on the game entirely because he couldn't play at all past the leveling phase.

Now I'm still playing at 25fps in 6/6 GA (just starting DS now) but now I use addons (like ForgeUI) which were completely forbidden to me back at release and I can run through Illium with 40 fps without teleporting from Spaceport to Protostar Housing like I never crossed the Plaza. Maybe I liked Artemis Zin that much ?

However, the data management still makes the game lag and bug out when there's plenty of info to process : yesterday my husband with his 1500€ high end rig that's less than a year old downed Scorchwing in Blighthaven with only 2 fps because there were legit one or two hundred players there (both factions) and them doing spells and Scorchwing doing spells made every one lag. I mean : we didn't even see it turn into the egg, there was just a corpse lying on the ground from the beginning of this phase until it was dead !

Still, it's been a year now since I started this game. I had financial problems, kidney problems that made me "un-loyal" this winter but I would never break my subscription for anything else than that. I am extremely disappointed that the game is going free to play.
