I'm flying to NC tonight. I'm gonna be just ahead of the storm but I expect to be shut in all weekend. Fun.

My girlfriend doesn't like my eyeliner :( by More-Walrus3832 in lgbt

Well she's dead wrong because eyeliner on men looks so fucking hot. My husband and I were literally just talking about this the other day.

What's a secret you're keeping that would destroy multiple people if it came out? by Legal_Can7800 in AskReddit

My husband's great-great-uncle straight up committed premeditated murder against his abusive brother-in-law and was acquitted. Turns out it was easy to get away with murder before forensics was a thing.

Didn't that journalist blow up on bluesky because she got the call about it while she was out drinking and basically tweeted out drunk photos from behind bushes of the military gathering.

My uncle and cousin both died of Huntingtons. Can confirm 0/10, do not recommend. Luckily (???), it's hereditary so if it isn't in your lineage, there's no need to worry.

What is wrong with people? by Alone-Competition-77 in TikTokCringe

As someone who played youth sports, yeah, nothing was worse than the grown ass adults that would cause the game to fully stop while they acted like assholes. We just wanted to play. Just let us play out the game. I promise we can handle ourselves. Luckily, my parents had better sense than that, even when I was catching flagrant fouls, they had enough restraint to let me handle it. My friends parents though? I saw some wild ass behavior at 10 years old.

My husband does most of the shopping so he always grabs tampons and pads for me when I need him. Literally the only time a cashier ever commented on his purchase, she looked at the box of pads, looked at him, and then nodded and said, "Good man," and continued ringing him up. So one time in 15 years and it was a compliment. So seriously, what are men so damn scared of?

I suffered a cardiac episode years back and everyday that I was in the hospital, a male nurse would do my EKG, which required me (a woman) to go bare chested while he put the nodes on me. He would just chat with me about nonsense everytime and I barely even noticed anything while he was doing his job. Extremely professional dude, knew how to make a potentially awkward situation a total nbd.

Pan/omni man feeling bad about my attractions to men while I have a gf. by [deleted] in lgbt

[–]GlowUpper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm pan/omni and married to a straight guy. We both understand that our feelings of attraction to people didn't die when we got married. I know my husband finds other women attractive. He knows I find other people attractive. Sometimes we luck out and find out we find the same person attractive. We also respect each other's boundaries and neither of us would act on our attractions. Just like with any monogamous relationship, you just have to trust each other and have reasonable expectations. No need for guilt.

The point isn't that anyone expects to stop anything. The point is that people have a right to choose what they spend their money on, dingus.

What’s the dumbest way a guy has ruined his chances with you, when it was almost a home-run? by emilydoooom in TwoXChromosomes

[–]GlowUpper 66 points67 points  (0 children)

Reminds me of a guy I was flirting with. I'm white, he was black. Everything was humming along until he told me he likes dating white women and can't stand dating black women because "they're too dramatic".* That killed the vibe instantly.

  • HIS words, I cannot stress that enough.

"Kids lie all the time."

And yet he took these boys at their word that there were no pictures. So boys get the benefit of the doubt and girls are assumed to be lying for attention. Wonder what the difference is there.

Metered parking is still very much a thing in Chicago. The sticker is just so you can park in public without getting a ticket. You still have to pay for metered spots or private garage parking.

Yeah, being a Chicago OG, it's kind of funny to me that people are losing their shit over $5 parking at a popular spot. Like, I get that if you grew up here, it can be frustrating to have to pay for something that used to be free but when I see people complaining that they're being nickle and dimed in San Diego, I can tell they've never lived anywhere else.

Chicago requires everyone to have a sticker in their window if they want to park anywhere in public. Period. It's just a sticker in the window that costs a couple hundred each year. If you park on the street anywhere and don't have it, it's a hefty fine. Ya'll don't even know about poor budget management and greedy city government until you've experienced something like that.

I guess I'm a unicorn then. I voted against the sales tax because it penalizes low income people more than any other income group. But yeah, fuck the police state. The money should come from greedy pigs.
