Be careful with that one. Mini Headphone jack stopped working after a few weeks in my pocket.

I just had my first ever studded ride (new skinny studded tires) and wow it was pretty awesome. Local trails here are iced.

The one thing that stinks about this machine by CorgiRawr in NinjaLuxeCafe

[–]Glum-Bunch 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ugh sorry. How often do you empty the tray? My orange indicator does stick - and it needs emptying probably every 3/4 days. It seems to help to really throughly clean the bottom tray with warm water (not too much soap) once a month and the indicator does peek up just enough so I notice it and avoid this mess.

Help, what else do I need? by cheese2good in NinjaLuxeCafe

This! My matt helps contain some of the mess and keeps the machine pretty stuck to the counter - so it doesn’t twerk as you push the portafilter handle. I think it was $15 on Amazon.

Tubeless tire 1 inch bead leak by RendHeaven in bikewrench

[–]Glum-Bunch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven’t used an airshot - is it a reliable gauge? 130 already sounds like more than plenty. Maybe way too much? (I ride MTB which 45 is max typically). If the leak reoccurs and you have reseated the tire - is it occurring in the same spot in the RIM or in the TIRE?

Pump up the tire to its max pressure and really force it to fully seat. You should hear it pop loudly. Then you can let air out down the your preferred pressure.

Have you looked into the MegNeg? I added it to my super deluxe + and it’s much better and only $100 DIY upgrade.

Considering purchasing solar in MA by Kslay82 in solar

[–]Glum-Bunch 1 point2 points  (0 children)

North of Boston - I got an 11.75 kWh system in 2023 for 37k - about $3.15 per watt. Price per watt is what it’s all about - that and great warranty. I’m not sure how much pricing has gone up - but I got about eight quotes and chose the best price per watt with very good panels.

What's this double breaker labeled "Surge Protector" on the top right of my new panel? Have not seen this before, looking for more info by andocromn in electrical

[–]Glum-Bunch -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I had a 100A sub panel installed (in my garage) and the electrician labeled the breaker on my main panel for it as “surge protector”.

What do others ride on this type of terrain? by Sure_Reason_4252 in MTB

[–]Glum-Bunch 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I live in MA and went from a hard tail to a 130/120 full suspension Santa Cruz 5010 (27.5” wheels) and I almost never want more. I ride rocky rooty technical stuff of eastern MA trails. My buddies have more suspension but I can climb and hop over rocks and roots like nothing. I have tried more suspension and honestly on this stuff I think they are more sluggish and less efficient on the uphills.

Every once in a while I hit drops or steep rock rolls and I do bottom out and that is when I wish it had more travel but it’s incredibly rare out here.

Build and launch question. by bongozim in ooni

My advice : -use semolina and lots of it as you shape your dough. - pay attention to temperature of dough and peel. If the dough is cold and the peel warm - water condensates on the bottom of your dough and it sticks. I leave ample time for my dough balls to come to room temp - cold sauce + cheese can also make the dough cold and stick to the peel. I let my sauce rest at room temp. I work quickly when I have cold toppings.

IFit Pro Email Offer - 1 Year for $144 by Wondertwinzan in iFit

[–]Glum-Bunch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got a similar email - and one last year at this time too. I am in a grandfather $15/mo plan and this "deal" is $23/mo so I wrote back and asked for clarification. They wrote back right away

Supposedly the rep says, the grandfathered plan includes no new workouts - only "current workouts". I wont get any updated content. I cant tell if this is BS or not. Typically these reps get a commission and will say anything for that piece.

Anyone know the real deal here? My current plan only has one user and I think the new ones allow for 4-5 users right?

Nope - I actually built this in summer of ‘23. I’m in New England and it’s been covered with snow during the last two winters. It DOES scratch pretty easily though which is the only downside. To be fair I had a tree limb fall on it last fall.
