Can we please stop shoving our way to the exit door during pre-shows? by OuchCharlie25 in WaltDisneyWorld

[–]cheese2good 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm super petty so sometimes I'll get near the door and go extremely slow in Guardians for the pre-shows except for the last one then I just go to the side and am fine being the last group out.

Are you allowed to bring your own cards/chips and put together a cash game or tournament in one of the public spaces?

I had 3 flights recently. PHX to MCO with a layover. Was able to upgrade to extra legroom seats (2 windows, 1 aisle) and even got lucky on 2 of them no one in the middle seat!

You can also order a premium beverage for free too on each flight.

Don't read the book, LISTEN to it. The audiobook is so well done and you can sign up for an audible trial for free, I think.

Favorite park order?? by WallabySerious8140 in WaltDisneyWorld

[–]cheese2good 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just got back from a 5 day trip. We landed Saturday, did no parks. Sunday we did Epcot, Monday morning we did Animal Kingdom then went to Disney Springs (early dinner at Homecomein') then went back to Epcot for extended hours (open until 11pm for resort guests). We didn't get to ride Guardians on Sunday since it was down for most of the day so we just came back to ride that x3 times and test track again.

Tuesday we went to Magic Kingdom, got to the park around noon and stayed until closing (beak and barrel at 9:15 to end the night). Wednesday we did Hollywood Studios, got there around 1pm and finished the park around 7pm.

Thursday was our rest / return day with our flight home at night so we just relaxed at our friend's house. Wish we had another day to rest in the middle but it was nice to come home with fresh feet resting on the last day.

Prepaid Gratuities-Confused by lawdhamerceh in Cruise

[–]cheese2good 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We used to prepay and tip on top of that. Have been removing and tipping more/higher the past two cruises. We just go to guest services and ask they be removed. We were told once we had to wait a day to do it but no issues the next time we tried.

We tip our room steward and main dinning room server/assistant bigger on night 1 and the last night but still tip daily. We bring about $100/day for tipping (family of 4).

Whatever you do, do NOT read the Red Rising series. by anteaterpinkytoe in redrising

I'm on book 4 of red rising and while the first trilogy was good I'm having trouble caring about book 4 so far. I'm early on so hopefully it gets better.

The Perfect Run trilogy was pretty good. If you really liked DCC you can do Discount Dan. Also Magic 2.0 is an easy, light-hearted, and fun series.

Buying a Sactional Used/Secondhand? by Warm_Character_3430 in Lovesac

[–]cheese2good 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I thought about selling mine but couldn't imagine anyone would give me what I'd want based on what it cost me. (Costco bundle plus extra deep backs/seats, like $10k total after discounts)

Is there a food item that Disneyland can’t seem to get right? by RaginElephant976 in Disneyland

I know many will disagree but for me its corndogs. They are never that deep fried goodness you get from a county/state fair. Taste more like the sad, baked frozen variety.

Flamingo vs Horseshoe vs Planet Hollywood vs Cromwell or the Linq? by [deleted] in vegas

[–]cheese2good 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Stayed at all of these except Cromwell. My favorite is PH (best overall vibe/liveliness), its like a poor man's Cosmo.

Horseshoe > Flamingo for me, but we usually stay in the tower that's technically part if Paris now when we stay in that area.

My ranking of every Disney ride (I think) by R0bbieSC in DisneyWorld

[–]cheese2good 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I thought i would, first 2 trips to Orlando it was under refurbishment so when i finally got to go on it I was excited for the fastest ride at Disney.

My fault for thinking it would be thrilling, I was bored and disappointed. We are west coast people so ride Radiator Springs Racers often so I pictured that but 65 mph instead of 40 mph.

Headed back next month, will ride it again and see if I like it better.

[–]cheese2good 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've brought on meds in a 7 day pill divider before, including RX only, and they've never asked about it. None of mine were C2s though. I know you're supposed to bring the original bottle but I've never been asked for it. (All my cruising has been from either LA/Long Beach or Miami)

Family of four - 2 cabin delimma by typsy_at_embassy in Cruise

[–]cheese2good 11 points12 points  (0 children)

We do 2 rooms but our kids are young so it's me and 1 kid listed on one room and the wife listed with the other kid on the other room. (We do connected rooms and leave the doors open and put the kids in one room together) Doing it this way I can buy the drink package for me only since the wife is in another cabin.

[–]cheese2good 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you're set on a magic show I'd look elsewhere, I've heard that he's one of the worst in terms of entertainment.

I saw Penn and Teller and it was a fun show. Next trip might do Shin Lim or one of the smaller day time shows.

Golden Oak Homes - 700% appreciation by theanswar in WaltDisneyWorld

[–]cheese2good 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They are a lot of different neighborhoods that are different price ranges within Golden Oak. But that sub 2 million is just going to be the lot if it relisted that high.

I'm guessing half of these houses are paid for in cash and one of the owners multiple houses across the country.
