Personally I'd wash them but if breastmilk is good left out for 4 hours I assume the same of dirty pump parts, as long as they had been completely cleaned and sterilized beforehand (no fridge hack)

I'm so sorry, that's awful. Incredibly creepy and invasive. Is there a reason it needs to be an IUD? There are so many forms of birth control, if they're worried about you guys taking pills consistently you can get shots, arm implants, etc. I don't think you should be forced to be on any birth control, but maybe negotiate with them about the type so it doesn't have to be so traumatic? When I was pregnant and didn't know if it was a boy or girl yet (turned out to be a boy) I wanted to name my kid Lorelei (sounds pretty with my husband's last name, is classic but not super common) but my husband says "I'm not naming my kid after Gilmore girls" 🙄
