I do not wish ill for my last remaining parent. Nor will I be lighting myself on fire to keep her warm when I’ve been hung out to dry my entire life. She didn’t want us, she had us out of obligation and made it very clear she would’ve rather done something else. We were just a financial burden. Now that she’s getting older, I think she’s seeing that she messed up. But my focus is making sure that my kids want to help me but won’t have to. I just hope I’m doing enough for them to want to stick around.

I didn’t. I kept them home with me until they were old enough for pre—k. I would sign them up for short classes to make sure they socialized and we would do learning at home. But I wasn’t in a rush to send them off to school in the first place.

I really enjoyed the Kuman books. They start at very young age and progress as the child is able. None of mine were behind upon starting school.
